Pregnant dog shot 17 times and left on streets has qualified as therapy dog

Dogs often proved us what incredible creatures they are. However, this story demonstrates dogs are actually more than that.

Maggie, a special dog who experienced a horrifying happening, taught us a lesson we’ve never learned otherwise. She was found abandoned on the streets of Lebanon, bad injured after being hit by 17 bullets. The five years old doggy was found nearly gone, tied by a box. She was also pregnant.

But, the incredible brave dog not only she miraculously survived, but now she has qualified as a therapy dog. More than that, now she’s an Internet sensation, too.

“Are we as beautiful as these bluebells?? I can’t see them by my goodness, they sure do smell gorgeous!” -Maggie • • • Well I have to say hump day has hit us hard! My mind is gone and the girls are pooped. Today I’ll just give you a little recap of how the filming for Maggie’s telly appearance went. It’s been full of love and tears. Maggie’s number one fan Anne was filmed today at the care home. Listening to her explain what Maggie means to her had me in balling like a baby. She got to see all the kind students at the University and they got to walk and talk to the camera crew. Hopefully telling them lovely things about Maggie Moo. Thank you to the students @sussexdogsoc and to the lovely film crew @bbc can’t wait to see Maggie on telly with her best friend Anne. I’m sorry if my grammar and writing style is a bit off but I’ve been up all night, with excitement and nerves and it’s been such a long day. On top of that I’m a very emotional person as I’m sure you know and think I’m genuinely dehydrated from all the crying. So goodnight from the girls and I! Let me know in the comments below if you’ll be watching Miss Maggie on The one Show the 15th of May!? • • • #pupfluencer #dogsofbark #cutenessalert #blinddogsofinstagram #blinddogsrule #alaskankleekais #alaskankleekaiofinstagram #alaskankleekailover #alaskankleekaisofinstagram #alaskankleekailove #kleekai #kleekaination #kleekaipuppy #kleekaiaddicted #kleekaisofinstagram #fursister #furfriends #furfriendsforever #lovethydog #bluebells #bluebellwoods #bemoremaggie #puppiesofinstagram

“This is my throw back Thursday! This time last year I started my journey to a new life with my mom and sister. My story isn’t over... in fact it’s only just begun. Will you help me rescue fur friends still out in Lebanon? All are disabled and are in need of someone willing to give them a chance. I know they look sad right now but with love they will all become amazing dogs.” -Maggie #bemoremaggie • • • This time last year Maggie started her rescue journey. She was found and rescued and was in such a sad state. She was given a second chance at life and she seized the opportunity. Look at how happy and full of love she is now. These five disabled dogs deserve that same chance. You can read thief story and donate using the link in the bio. Even if you only donate a £1.00 (you can skip 1 coffee or 2 bars of chocolate for a day and donate it to these furbabies) if you could donate please follow the link in our bio if not please repost this and share with your followers so some of them can help. #tbthursday • • • #rescuedogsofinstagram #rescue #rescuedogsrule #rescuepit #rescuedogsrule #rescuedogsofig #rescuedogsofinsta #adoptionjourney #adoptabledogsofinstagram #adoptame #adopts #adoptables #adoptdontshop❤️ #adoptdontshop🐾 #adoptadog #adoptionstory #wildatheartfoundation #lovealldogs

“This person in Lebanon posted asking for help and a woman in London saw the post and got help,” Kasey told The Argus. “Wild At Heart said they would take her in, even though it’s quite hard to get pets out of Lebanon. My mum saw Maggie’s post and said we had to foster her.I got home and saw the picture and agreed.”

However, getting the dog out of Lebanon wasn’t an easy process at all. It took almost 6 months of online campaign for Kasey to hug Maggie.

“Guess what....I am now a registered therapy dog!! Do you think I’ll be able to make people happy?” -Maggie #bemoremaggie #bemoredog • • • As many of you know.. Maggie has a heart that loves unconditionally! Her spirit is infectious! She has a has a big personality. And she has and aurora that is so calming. Her story catches the hearts of many and reminds us all of our inner strength. Since the first time I met Maggie I knew she would make a great therapy dog if she wanted to be. Thankfully we found a charity that not only uses the healing power of dogs but also teaches the importance of animal welfare. Yesterday me and Maggie went to meet with her assessor, @maherandhounddogtraining she flaunted her stuff and gave it her best go and she PASSED. Maggie is now a registered therapy dog with @underdog_international . She and I will speak to schools and work hands on with youngsters. I know what happened to Maggie was horrendous but if her story can educate and inspire others to do good then at least we can do our part to make this world a little brighter. • • • #therapydog #therapydogsrock #therapydogsofinstagram #therapydoglife #dogtherapy #gooddoggos #dogisgood #gooddoggie #gooddoggo #rescuedogs #rescuedogsarethebestdogs #rescuedogsofinsta #rescuedoglife #rescuedoglove #dogslove #lovedogs #doglover #blinddog #dogsofinstagram #dogsoflondon #rescuedogstory #disableddogsofinstagram #dogsaretherapy #dogsaremytherapy

“Who is is your bestie? Is it me? You are my best friend, and my second is my sister Mishka! She is my opposite in every way but we fit together like two peas in a pod!” #furfriends #bemoremaggie • • • Friends are so important in our lives, although we may argue or bicker a true friend will be there for you when you need them. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ My best friend(s) have always been my animals. No one will love and understand you like your fur friend. They know you better than you know them! You are their entire world and they love you with every bit of their soul. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I feel so lucky to have Maggie and Mishka. Never have I owned two dogs at the same time and while it wasn’t all smooth sailing, I’m so glad they LOVE each other as much as they do. • • • #dogsofinstagram #cutedogvideos #cutedogvideos #cutepuppies #cutepuppyvideos #happyanimals #happyanimal #happydog #happydogs #happydoglife #happydoghappylife #animalsmakemehappy #animalsarefriends #blinddogs #blinddogsofinstagram #blinddog #differentlyabled #sofluffy #furfriend #muttstagram #mixedbreed
