Like one heroic dog, who saved the life of her owner after fighting off an attacking mountain lion.

Erin Wilson, from Trinity County, California, is the loving owner of a 2-and-a-half-year-old Belgian Malinois named Eva. 

Recently, the two were on a relaxing walk by the river, but the peaceful day turned into a life-threatening ordeal. 

According to the Sacramento Bee, a mountain lion lunged at Erin, growling and scratching through her jacket. With no one else around, Erin called on Eva for help, and the loyal dog came to her rescue.

Eva bravely confronted the mountain lion: Erin says she “hit that cat really hard” and distracted the big cat from Erin. But the dog was outmatched, and the mountain lion “latched on to her skull,” causing great pain. 

Erin soon returned the favor, fighting against the big cat with sticks and rocks and enlisting the help of a nearby motorist, who ended the attack by spraying the wild animal with pepper spray. While the mountain lion finally let Eva out of its grasp, the dog had serious wounds on her skull. 

“She had a couple of puncture wounds in her face,” Erin told the Sacramento Bee. “And she just had a lot of blood coming out of her mouth.”

Eva was rushed to the hospital, and while things seemed touch and go, the heroic dog pulled through. Erin started a GoFundMe to help pay for Eva’s medical bills, and says her savior is now recovering, reporting that vets are “optimistic.” 

“She is still not out of the woods, she is heavily sedated until we can be sure the pressure in her head is reduced,” she wrote. “She has 2 fractures to her skull, a puncture into the sinus cavity and severe swelling around her left eye, which is impeding her vision.”

While Eva suffered some bad injuries in the process, but she saved her owner’s life. “I think it’s safe to assume that dog probably saved her life,” Capt. 

Patrick Foy of the Department of Fish and Wildlife told Sacramento Bee. “My dog is my hero and I owe her my life,” Erin wrote on GoFundMe. You’re a hero, Eva! Thank you for saving your owner’s life by bravely facing down this mountain lion! It’s a reminder how protective and loyal dogs can be.

Our four-legged, furry companions are the most vulnerable of us during summer. All they can do is pant and drink water to keep cool. 

It’s not hard to see why we’re always told not to keep them inside cars when it’s hot. Well, it seems like we’ve got to remind people some more. Facebook - Jason Minson Virginia resident Jason Minson happened to walk by one very hot car one workday, with a very scared and hot dog inside.

What was clear was that the dog had been in there way too long. Judging from its panting and frantic pacing. Jason is an Army veteran, and his day job is that of a landscaper. His workdays usually aren’t this tense or interesting. 

In fact, he’d only found out about the dog in the car after another car almost collided with them. He went over to check and was treated to the sight of this dog panting for its life. Facebook - Jason Minson
He called 911 for help and was told that the police were on the way to help out. Hopefully, that wouldn’t take too long. But with each passing minute, the dog seemed to have a harder and harder time. 

It was like a timer was counting down, and Jason couldn’t just stand there and do nothing. He gave the dog some water, which might have helped it a bit. It drank down every last bit of the water. Then Jason gave it another bottle, and the dog drank it up like it didn’t just have a whole bottle prior. 

This was a very thirsty – and very, very hot dog. Help wasn’t here yet, and the dog’s condition didn’t seem to get any better. It seemed like water only delayed the worst rather than prevented it, and something had to be done. Facebook - Jason Minson
The police told Jason not to break open the car windows. He had little to disagree with originally, but that was several long minutes ago. 

After learning that the dog was heavily dehydrated and not wanting to wait any longer, he finally gave in and smashed the window open. 

The dog was out, and Jason could relax a bit. Sure, smashing open car windows isn’t usually a stress-reliever, but a life was on the line here. Facebook - Jason Minson He could take a breather now. Well, he made the right move as it turned out. The law makes a pretty clear case about breaking open car windows to save distressed animals inside. 

This meant Jason wasn’t to be charged with any crimes. The same couldn’t be said for the owner of the car and dog who left that poor pooch in there. As for the dog, it was treated at a veterinary hospital. Facebook - Jason Minson
Needless to say, it wasn’t going back to its previous owner. Never leave your pets inside the car when it’s hot! 

That coat of fur is a lot hotter than it looks, and panting only does so much. Don’t wait for someone to come and smash your car window while you’re gone. In the meantime, give this article a share and let people know how to treat animals responsibly in the heat.

They explained that unfortunately, she lost her mother after lions attacked her. Through their official Facebook account they usually update the conditions of the animals they care for, Aime (shelter representative) stated: “We have no further updates at this time other than a list of experienced caretakers who continue to look after her, which includes providing food for milk, ensuring she has a warm stable to sleep in at night and a protective ‘mother’ presence during the day,” the caretaker said. 

However, she also ventured to explain a little something that caught the eye of Diria’s precious images: the caregivers’ clothing. “Baby zebras need to be able to recognize their mother from birth to survive. To know her mother’s stripes, a zebra mother often separates herself and her baby from the herd so that the baby can recognize and follow her coat, smell and call. Once the baby can identify its mother, the duo will return to the herd,” said Amie, a representative of the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust. “In the wild, calves are raised only by their mother, but in our Reintegration Unit, it’s not practical for a single person to raise one if they go on annual vacation. 

Therefore, to avoid this fragile impression of the newborn on a person, our Guardians wear a specially made striped coat so that Diria will recognize them as her ‘mother’, regardless of who is wearing it. A team of caregivers can provide Diria with the 24/7 specialized care she needs to give her the best chance of survival,” Amie continued. The special clothing helps gain confidence and makes it easier for the animal to adapt, a gesture that is simply beautiful and speaks volumes about the care they take of the species here.

Heterochromia is a condition that can even be found in human beings but Pam Pam takes the crown. Not only does she have incredibly beautiful eyes but the furriness in her is just too cute to handle. Source

For a man by the name of Allen Pursley, however, what was above his head fell right at his feet. He found a baby squirrel that had fallen out of a nearby tree and the squirrel was so young, his eyes hadn’t even opened. 

Allen knew that he had to do something to help this poor baby. Fortunately for the squirrel, Allen was able to take the squirrel to the vet clinic. 

After checking out the baby squirrel, he was released back to Allen until he could be released into the wild again. Pursley didn’t plan on keeping the squirrel but he formed such a tight bond with him, it was amazing. 

He works from home so he was able to hand feed the squirrel milk and care for him until he started to grow. When he opened his eyes, he saw Allen before he saw anyone else. A beautiful friendship was blossoming. He ended up spending so much time with the squirrel that a space was converted in the closet for him. The squirrel was named Rocky but the nickname ‘Bad Squirrel’ seemed to be used more frequently. Training Rocky was difficult as he wanted to climb the drapes and jump on the countertops. 

Rocky also had a number of other nicknames, including Sweet Squirrel, Squiggidy-Boo and Squirellito. The time came for Rocky to be released back in the wild but he was so tame at this point, he likely would not survive. It seems as if they had found best friends for life. Rocky lives with Allen in their house with a couple of dogs and a cat but they are a little too rough for Rocky. Nobody else can handle him other than Allen. Since they first met, two years have gone by and now Rocky is fully grown. The bond that they have between them has grown stronger. 

An outside home is now being created but Rocky still wants to stay by Pursley’s side at all times. Rocky has his own Instagram page!

It turns out that even completely different types of animals can be very strong friends. The monkey carefully pulled something out of duck feathers, stroked it, hugged it and lay down next to it. 

Maybe she thought the duckling wanted to sleep, but no. She was so careful and gentle with the little bird. 

The monkey didn’t just take care of the duckling, she took care of him. After a few minutes, the duck settled herself comfortably, closed her eyes, and fell asleep. Even though the monkey was a baby herself, she did a great job putting her best friend to bed! 

After that, the duckling began to trust her completely. They began to walk, eat, relax and play together. They became best friends and this story is proof that different kinds of animals can be perfect friends too! You can see that they both have a great time together.

 What an unusual and sweet friendship!

  At some point, Derrick is in the water and seems to get carried away by the current. Fortunately for him, his elephant, without a second thought, rushes to his rescue in a heroic manner. But wait…is it me or the man doesn’t look very desperate? Well, he’s not really in much danger. Still, the elephant keeps running to him and helps him with his trunk so he can hold on and get out. The man definitely wasn’t in trouble, but that doesn’t take away the bravery of his elephant, which at least won the hearts of many Youtube users who have already watched the video more than 15 million times. These include birth and the love of a mother caring for her babies. For Snowbelle, both miracles occurred at the same time. This is her story. Snowbelle was discovered with her six pups in the snow close to Red Lake in Minnesota. “A resident saw Snowbelle and her babies in the snow and contacted our rescue team about their plight,” Rosie Rescue officials said. 

It appears that the snow surrounding them had melted from their body heat. “Another resident helping Karen Good, the shelter’s founder, brought Snowbelle and her pups to the shelter. She placed Snowbelle in a kennel with straw and blankets and determined that Snowbelle was so emaciated that her milk had dried up.” People were puzzled to see that the puppies were already three weeks old, and they were amazed at how they made it through the rough weather.
