If you have not ever interacted with a Labrador, you might just be amazed at what this 10-year-old lab from Mountfitchet Castle in Stansted, UK just did. If you have had a lab in your life, you will know in your heart that your lab would have done the same thing. 

I would like to introduce you to Fred. He is a Labrador retriever that has recently gained a lot of Internet attention because he became a father. He didn’t become a father to other labradors but rather, to 9 orphaned ducklings. 

You see, their mother had disappeared last week and the ducklings were left on their own. The staff at the Castle was concerned about their welfare but Fred took it upon himself to look over them. These nine ducklings hitch a ride on Fred’s back and he watches over them as they swim in the moat. When they can, they also snuggle up with Fred on the lawn and take a nap. Fred’s human said that “They absolutely adore him and he has now resigned himself to being a stay-at-home dad looking after the nine baby ducklings.” It is hoped that Fred continues to provide this loving care for just a few more weeks. By that time, the ducks will be able to go off on their own and begin their life on the Castle grounds.

Like one cat who is being called “the most responsible kitten in the world” after keeping a close eye on three newborns. 

According to a post from the KC Pet Project, a rescue in Kansas City, Missouri, the six-week-old black cat was found with three newborn kittens — and the person who found them says that the older cat has been caring for the babies.

  It isn’t known if the older kitten is a sibling of the newborns or what happened to their mother. But the cat has clearly taken his job as their new guardian very seriously, and the KC Pet Project has dubbed him the “most responsible kitten in the world.” 

“We think this is about the cutest thing ever,” they wrote on Facebook. They were such an adorable family unit that no one could bear to split them up: they were all placed in a foster home together, where they will stay until they are old enough to be adopted. 

According to HuffPost, the responsible kitten has been named Binx and the kittens have been dubbed Ollie, Frankie and Ziggy. KC Pet Project spokesperson Tori Fugate told the outlet that while newborns need milk to survive, either from a mother cat or bottle-fed by humans, the male kitten did his best to care for them, and they are all “doing great so far.” 

Now in foster care, Binx continues to keep an eye on the little ones. What a sweet, responsible kitten. We’re so glad these newborns had someone looking after them, and that they’re all safe and together now.

A chicken taking care of three tiny kittens may sound like something out of a fairy tale, but it actually happened in this farmer’s barn. The man even caught the adorable scene on video and it went viral online! As usually happens, at Goran A. Surchi’s farm there are a lot of animals that live together in harmony; from dogs to cats, goats and sheep, and even birds. 

Nonetheless, the Kurdish farmer never taught his animals will ever bond in sweetest way. But when three orphaned kittens needed help, they found it where no one would expected.

One day, Goran heard the kittens crying and he went to investigate, but when he realized the meows are coming from the chicken coop, he initially thought the hen and her baby chickens might be in danger.

“For some time now, I was hearing meows coming from our chicken coop and I was curious to know what was going on, as our chickens could be in danger,” the farmer explained. 

As it turns out, the three kittens were orphaned, after their mother sadly passed away, so they needed the love and comfort that only a mother can provide.
