He found comfort in a plushie monkey, beat the odds and warmed everyone’s heart with his inspiring story! Djibril – an adorable baby chimp – was born at a zoo in the city of Malaga, Southern Spain. But unfortunately, his mother refused to look after him and eventually abandoned him, shortly after he was born. 

A sad thing, but who can blame her as she was rescued from a circus, where she had been through a lot. Kept in captivity almost her entire life, Kika hasn’t developed any maternal instincts, so wasn’t able to take care of her own baby. Happily for the baby chimp, life smiled back to him when he expected the less, after he was taken at the BIOPARK – an animal park in Valencia! Shortly after he arrived here, Djibril offered a truly heart-warming moment, after he was spotted cuddling with a plush monkey. 

The stuffed toy was given to him by the staff at the park, to make him feel comfortable. But, after some accommodation time, the staff introduced Djibril to one of the females, Malin, but she showed no interest in him. 

But things have changed when he met Eva, who immediately showed her love and affection to Djibril, and adopted him as her own baby. Now, Djibril is thriving with his new family and he looks happier than ever. More, the center believes he can play a crucial role in saving the Western Chimpanzee subspecies. Source

The lovely video was filmed at Denver Zoo and then shared on Facebook, melting hearts all over the internet! The 12lb cub was born at the zoo, on July 31, and since then, the little one has only spent time with his mom. 

Therefore, the staff at the zoo decided it’s time for the newest member to meet his family. And the moment he finally met his two years old dad, won over the internet. 

According to the Denver Zoo’s officials, the little lion will soon be ready to make his first appearance in public. “He’s spent the last couple months bonding with his mom, dad and half-sister behind the scenes at Predator Ridge at Denver Zoo, and will soon make his big public debut in one of the outdoor habitats,” Jake Kubié, the director of communications at Denver Zoo told Bored Panda. 

While people in Denver are very familiar with Neliah and Tobias, the little one’s parents, he doesn’t have a name, yet. So, the zoo is seeking for help with the name at their fans. 

According to the Bored Panda, the choices are: Meru, which is the name of a mountain in Tanzania, Moremi, which stands for the name of a game reserve in Botswana, and Tatu, which is the Swahili word for the number three(the cub is the lioness’ third baby). 

The zoo is encouraging everyone to vote and to donate $1 for the three finalists.

  This self-taught piano dog was named after Freddie Mercury, the singer of the band Queen. He even has a website where his fans can buy his merchandise and download his music.

This baby polar bear found herself in a desperate situation, after her mom sadly passed away! With the polar bear cubs relying on their mothers to feed and protect them until they’re around 2,5-3 years old, the fate seemed to be sealed for this several months old little one, after she remained orphaned.

 Fortunately for her, the help come from an unlikely place! At this age, the polar bear cub was struggling to feed herself. 

Hungry and confused, the young female approached a group of Arctic gold mine workers, and begged for some food. The bear was all alone on the island Bolsehvik, on the Russian territory of the Arctic Circle. 

She was attracted by the smell of food coming from a group of people that were working at a gold mine on the island. 

Although there are extremely strict rules that forbid the feeding of polar bears, the miners have broken them in order to save the starving animal. For several months, the polar bear remained close to the people that saved her. She even spent her time cuddling with them. 

However, when the gold miners contract came to an end, they had to leave the island, and leave the polar bear alone, once again. 

But they were ready to do everything in their power to help the poor creature to get rescued. Their efforts eventually paid off! “The workers could only get in touch with us at the end of their work stint, as they had no communication link at the base,” Andrey Gorban, director of Royev Ruchei Zoo, explained. 

“We were told that the men were leaving back to the mainland, and the cub had stayed there alone, so our only hope was that they left quite a big open rubbish site, so there was a chance that the cub could feed off it for weeks.” After a few weeks, the polar bear was finally rescued at taken at the Moscow Zoo, from where she might be relocated to a permanent home. 

But that won’t be in the wild though, as she had too much contact with people. Anyway, if it wasn’t these workers, the bear would have been gone for a long time. Actually, the miners decision of breaking the no feeding rules was eventually praised by the wildlife officials. 

  “For right or wrong, they fed the endangered animal and through that tamed her,” Andrey Gorban said. “The workers saved its life, the cub had no chance to survive.”
