Even wild, red foxes are highly adaptive to almost any environment and very often come close to human settlements in order to procure food, mostly during the cold season. When these two fishermen went out on a completely frozen lake in Russia, to catch some fishes, the less thing they would expected was an intimate encounter with a wild red fox. 

However, shortly after they made themselves comfortable, an unexpected guest decided to pay them a short visit. Soon as one of the fishermen spotted a tiny fox wondering around them, he decided to call the wild animal. Surprisingly, the fox answered the call and got extremely closer. 

That moment, the fisherman offered her a snack, which she gladly accepted. Realizing how friendly the tiny fox is, the two men grabbed their cellphones to take photos and footages with the unlikely visitor. 

Naturally, the sly fox happily accepted the shooting session in the exchange of a few more treats.

Each year, more than 4 million animals are trapped and killed for their fur in the United States. Millions more are trapped and killed in the name of “livestock” and “game” protection and for “nuisance” animal control. 

Whatever the purpose, the consequences for the trapped animals are the same — pain, suffering, and death. Proponents argue that traps are humane and selective, and that trapping is tightly regulated, an important source of income for many people, and necessary for managing wildlife. These claims, however, are far from the truth. 

Despite what trappers would have you believe, animals frequently sustain severe injuries from being trapped. When not killed outright by the trap, animals can suffer physiological trauma, dehydration, exposure to severe weather, and predation by other animals until the trapper returns. 

When the trapper returns he usually clubs, suffocates or strangles the animal to death. Fur trappers rarely shoot trapped animals because bullet holes and blood reduce a pelt's value. The most commonly used trap in the U.S. is the steel-jaw leghold trap, a restraining trap with spring-loaded steel jaws that clamp on an animal's foot or leg when triggered. 

Leghold traps can cause severe swelling, lacerations, joint dislocations, fractures, damage to teeth and gums, self-mutilation, limb amputation, and even death. 

The steel-jaw leghold trap has been declared inhumane by the American Veterinary Medical 

Association, the American Animal Hospital Association, and the National Animal Control Association, and has been banned or severely restricted by more than 80 countries and 8 U.S. states.

There is nothing quite like sitting in a chair, relaxing in front of the TV and petting the cat that is purring away on your lap. 

It’s one of those things in life that we not only appreciate, we couldn’t imagine living without it. Although you may have a cat in your life that is precious, would you think about treating a wildcat in the same way? 

Most of us enjoy watching them in movies or on TV or perhaps we may sometimes get out to see them at the local zoo. When it comes to walking up to a wildcat and scratching it behind the ears, however, we might not be so quick to do it. 

The thing is, that is what this woman did to a Lynx cat that was recently rescued. This woman has become quite attached to the Lynx and apparently, the feeling is mutual. When she walks into the room and begins petting him, he starts responding almost immediately. 

The sounds that he makes are some of the sweetest you will ever hear in your life and we can’t even imagine what it is like to hear this as a response to your touch every single day. You really need to hear that loving response for yourself.

The short video has gained over 27 million views ever since, and it’s pretty easy to understand why people fell in love with it! As you probably know, little babies could cry for any reason, and sometimes it is difficult, even for their mum to calm them down. 

Days ago, Hanna Burton experienced that feeling, but she also witnessed a scene she’d never thought she will. 

The woman was on the deck of her house in New Lexington, Ohio, gently attempting to comfort her newborn baby, Charlie who was crying. The little baby was laying on a blanket right on the deck with his caring mom on his side patiently trying to calm him down, when all of a sudden an unlikely guest came out of nowhere. 

A wild deer found her way out of the bushes and she came sprinting straight to Hanna and her baby. The woman immediately realized what the deer’s intentions were and she tried to assure her that everything is under control. 

The wild animal just followed her maternal instincts and rushed to help! The little baby was laying on a blanket right beside his caring mommy when all of sudden an unlikely guest came out from nowhere. A wild deer found her way into the bushes and she ran straight towards Hanna with panic in eyes, but he quickly realized what this animal’s intentions were-to help! 

The woman immediately realized what the deer’s intentions were and she tried to assure her that everything is under control. The wild animal just followed her maternal instincts and rushed to help! “Nope! Nope! Nope!,” the woman can be heard saying. “This is my baby. This one’s my baby. Hi, momma!” Then, she tries to explain to Charlie what just happened. 

“She thinks you’re her baby,” she told her little one. The mother caught the adorable experience on camera and shared it online.

While many of the user had their hearts melted upon watching the adorable video, some have criticised Hanna because of how she handled the situation. 

But she later explained everyone and even shared a photo, of how her little Charlie comfortably sleeping on the deck. 

The deer’s surprising reaction was also debated by people, with one person explaining: “Deers are protective, probably thought it was a smaller animal in distress. They’ll do everything to protect rabbits among others. They’re so kind-hearted!”

  So when one woman saw a dog separated from his toy, she knew she had to go out of her way to help. It’s a small act of kindness that will brighten up your day. 

And this pair of bear cubs holding hands is definitely a sight to behold. Fortunately, Lewis Kemper – a wildlife photographer was at the right place the right time to capture on camera some incredible snaps. The 62-year-old California-based photographer was in Lake Clark National Park when spotted the adorable scene. 

Two cubs were holding their hands while watching the mama bear trying to get the supper. “I was leading a photography tour around Lake Clark in Alaska, earlier this month, when I spotted a female and her two cubs waiting for her to come back with something to eat,” Lewis said. 

“I was standing about 20 feet away from the two cubs – bears in the area are used to human presence and do not mind us.” Despite they were impatiently waiting for some fish at the dinner, their mom came back empty handed. “The two bears held hands for around 20 seconds,” the photographer said. 

“They hoped their mother would bring them some dinner but unfortunately, she came back fishless.” According to wildlife experts, bears have a 10% hunting success rate. Even tough most of the bears love to eat fishes, their diet is mostly based on plants. “Although bears love their fish, most of them are omnivores and mainly eat plants and of course, a lot of grass,” Lewis added. However, the two cubs are not the only wildlife captured on camera while gently holding ‘hands.’ A few years ago, a couple spotted two penguins holding flippers on a South African beach. 

The lovely encounter quickly went viral on social media, back then, winning the hearts of millions.

As the scene lasted for nearly 20 minutes it all lead to a traffic jam. But all the drivers have patiently waited until the poor mama bear finally succeeded. Robin Covelli, from Torrington, Connecticut, was among the drivers and witnessed the whole scene. 

She even captured on camera the adorable moment and the footage went absolutely virals with millions of views in less than a day. “I was very lucky to witness this today,” Covelli wrote on Facebook. “This poor mama bear tried for 15-20 minutes to get her 4 (yes 4) cubs across the street. 

The caring mother bear is trying to take her cute little cubs from one roadside to another, so she grabbed one of her babies by her mouth to encourage the rest of them to follow her. 

But while a second cub is closely following her, the other two seem to be pretty stubborn. When finally a third cub finds its courage to cross the road, the fourth one climbs a tree, but in the opposite direction.

Naturally, the mother comes back to cross it too, only a cub she already crossed over follows her as well to the amusament of the drivers. In the end, the mother bear manages to get all of her babies into on place. Being a mom isn’t an easy job!

The brave man spotted flames coming out of W-Underdogs – an animal shelter in Atlanta, Georgia – and he did not hesitate to put his life on the line to save the helpless creatures. 

Thanks to his heroic gesture all the animals trapped inside the burning shelter have been rescued and survived. “I was nervous, I’m not going to lie,” Keith shared with CNN. “I was really scared to go in there with all that smoke. But God put me there to save those animals.” 

Keith, who’s been living on the streets since he was 13 also has a furry companion – a pit bull named Bravo. When the blaze started, he was heading to the shelter to pick up his dog. 

The shelter owner, Gracie Hamlin knows Keith as she allows him to leave Bravo there, every night. “If you love a dog, you can love anyone in the world,” the brave man said. “My dog is my best friend, and I wouldn’t be here without him, so I knew I had to save all those other dogs.”

Gracie was more than happy to know that all the animals at the shelter were safe, thanks to Keith’s courage. 

“He is my guardian angel,” she told CNN. “He was pulling out the cats and dogs until they were all safe. I can’t thank him enough for saving my animals. I’m still in disbelief, because I’ve been around a fire and I know how fast they flare up. He is my hero.” 

 Thankfully, the shelter was just a few days away from moving the animals to a new facility, so now, the rescued animal were all moved in there!

Even after he was rescued, the odds didn’t looked into his favor as they couldn’t find any place for him in the nearby wildlife rehabs. 

Then, Nikki Robinson – a wildlife rescue volunteer – stepped in! “When you ask what you should do with [an orphaned raccoon], they say, ‘Leave it alone and let nature take its course,’” Robinson shared with The DODO. 

“That broke my heart. I couldn’t let that happen!” A big hearted woman, Nikki decided to make everything in her power to save that little soul. 

But since she was working all day long, she reached her mum who was retired and looking for some company, especially the company of a baby raccoon. 

They named him Little Hands and since then Nikki’s mom and the orphaned animal became inseparable.

“The first time she bottle-fed him and he looked up at her, she just kind of melted,” Robinson said. “She treated him very sweetly early on because they like to be touched a lot. So she created a bond with him.” 

 Thanks to Nikki’s mother, Little Hands made an incredible recovery and within a few months he was strong enough to get back in the wild. But even after they released him, 3-4 months after, the woman that used to bottle-feed him still left him some food in the back yard. 

That until, the raccoon seemed he wondered away from the property. However, from time to time, Little Hands keeps visiting the woman that saved his life, even though it’s been roughly three years since they first met. “Every day, she sits outside and waits, and even when they’re grown up, they’ll visit her and she just lights up and she just loves it,” Nikki said. “He wanted his snuggles, then he’d have his food and wander off.”

Best friends for over a decade, these two very unlikely companions perfectly show what animal world is all about. 

Everyone meet G-Bro, the gentlest golden retriever, and his very best friend Buttons, a rescued deer! 11-year-ago, when G-Bro’s human, Lorrie learned a deer was hit by a car, she immediately offered to help, even though she had no idea how deal with it. 

However, she decided to foster the poor wild animal. But little did she know her noble gesture will eventually change the deer’s life and her dog’s too. “When we first rescued Buttons, we had a friend that had raised a deer, and somebody called them and said a mama deer got injured,” Lorrie explained. 

“They called us and we gladly accepted…It took a lot of work, but our whole goal was to let her be wild, but also become a part of the family.” 

 After Buttons fully recovered, and the time came for her to be released back in the wild, Lorrie and her family were not too happy about it, since they all grew fond of the friendly deer, but they eventually accepted it. 

Surprisingly, Buttons did not wanted to leave her adopting family, especially her great buddy G-Bro. So even after releasing her, the faithful deer kept visiting her dear friends. 

Year passed and the rescued deer still adored to hang out with her friend dog and the family’s cat. So everyone got used with Buttons’ unexpected visits. “Buttons will just show up at the door, and that’s when you know she wants to see her buddy,” Lorrie said. “She’ll even paw at the door if you’re not answering in a timely manner.” But the most surprising visit was when the deer showed up with her two babies next to her side. Although the two fawns were only a few day old, Buttons wanted to introduce them to her dearest friend and to the family that saved her life. 

Unsurprisingly, G-Bro immediately fell in love with Buttons little ones and he even helps her friend with the maternal duties.

For the Carolina Waterfowl Rescue group in Indian Trail, North Carolina, they were blown away by the overwhelming response of kindness they received in relation to a social media post. 

 The rescue group helps birds in need, and last March, they put out a plea to the public asking that people donate knitted or crocheted nests for the baby birds in their care. PHOTO: UNSPLASH/HELLO I’M NIK
What they didn’t see coming was the thousands of packages and handwritten cards that they were about to receive in response to their post. 

Some of these care packages and cards even came as far away from other countries like Canada and Japan. 

Many of the notes that were written were such things as requests to be updated on the status of the baby birds or others who were happy to donate more all the rescue had to do was “let us know if you need more nests.” A wildlife rehab specialist for the Carolina Waterfowl group, Bayleigh MacHaffie, expressed in the video below, “It’s just so great that people go through and make the effort to try and help like this. It’s a great reminder for us that people care.” 

According to the rescue group, March is always “baby season,” as it’s the time of year whenever they see the most number of abandoned or injured baby birds. As a result, it’s always their busiest season.

According to MacHaffie, this has meant that in the past, they’ve had to help approximately 3,000 baby birds over the course of one summer! 

That is a lot of little orphaned birds – and they were mainly songbirds as well. Because of instances like that, MacHaffie emphasized the importance of the knitted nests excuse they actually help a growing bird’s development. 

She explained that if the baby bird doesn’t have a nest to hold them as they grow, they’re at risk of having their legs develop at splayed-out angles. That is partially the reason why a large amount of donations meant so much to the rescue center because it gave them the best chance of helping baby birds develop to their full potential. And that is always a wonderful thing.

So, despite the heartwarming footage below, seem too surprising to believe, this Alaskan woman stable upon the most incredible sight. A bald eagle, a fox and her two cats were ganging out on her back porch. When you live in the city of Unalaska in Alaska, both eagles and foxes, are a very common sight, but when you spot them chilling on next to yours cats, in front of your door, that seems a little exaggerating.

Nevertheless, that the kind of sight Pam Aus, came upon, and not just once. Although Pam’s cats – Gizmo and Suitcase – are extremely friendly, she never thought they will befriend wild foxes, let alone bald eagles. It all started on a snowy afternoon, when Pam who inside her home, heard some noise coming from the back porch, so she went to investigate. 

Surprisingly, her two cats were there, but not alone. Turns out, they got some very unlikely visitors.

 

“I was in my room on the computer and I heard the eagle squawking,” Pam explained for The Huffington Post. 

“I looked out my windows and saw this. It’s kinda common for the foxes to be friendly — same with the eagles. But seeing all three there was exciting. They all just sat there.” Since then, the odd friends kept visiting Pam’s cats, and the woman constantly uploads videos of their heartwarming bond on Youtube. 

In one of her videos, can be seen not one, but at least two eagles visiting her cats. But this comes pretty natural when you thinks the place is famous for its massive eagle population. 

Though in Unalaska live around 5,000 people, the small harbour is home for nearly 600 bald eagles. “The eagle couple claimed a lamppost across the street from my house,” Pam said.

While it sounds far-fetched, it turns out the show isn’t too far from real life: we’ve seen many stories of real, quick-thinking dogs who have saved lives by running to get help during emergencies. 

That was the case recently, when a heroic German Shepherd led police to the scene of a car crash, helping to save his owner. 

According to New Hampshire State Police, on January 3 Trooper Sandberg and officers from the Lebanon Police Department saw a German Shepherd loose on the interstate. They tried to take in the dog, but it ran off down the highway, crossing into Vermont. 

The officers followed — and soon realized the dog wasn’t running from them, but was trying to lead them somewhere. 

 They discovered a damaged guardrail, which led them to a badly damaged, rolled-over pickup truck:

  Two occupants of the vehicle were found on the scene, ejected from the vehicle. They were alive but “hypothermic and seriously injured.” It turned out that the German Shepherd, named Tinsley, was also in the vehicle at the time of the crash — and the smart dog had run for help. 

“It quickly became apparent that Tinsley led Trooper Sandberg and the Lebanon Police to the crash site and injured occupants,” New Hampshire State Police wrote on Facebook. 

Thankfully, Tinsley was not hurt in the accident. The officers called for medical assistance for the injured men. One of the men was Cam Laundry, Tinsley’s owner. He was proud of his dog’s quick-thinking, and wasn’t surprised she looked after him in his hour of need. 

“She’s my little guardian angel,” Cam told CBS Boston. “It’s a miracle how she has that kind of intelligence to do what she did.” “She never leaves my side,” he told WMUR. “So we’re always together in that truck that got wrecked she’s always my co-pilot, she’s always with me.” 

And Tinsley continued to be there for her owner, even after saving his life: the “guardian angel” watched over him as he recovered from the incident. 

“The whole time we were starting our patient care it sat there nice and calm right next to its owner,” said Captain Jack Hedges of Hartford Fire Department.

While enjoying their honeymoon, Norma Landeros-Ramirez and her husband have witnessed one of the most romantic moments on a South African beach. 

  “SINCE MY HUSBAND AND I ARE NEWLYWEDS, I WANTED TO SEE THE PENGUINS BECAUSE I HAVE HEARD THAT THEY KEEP ONE PARTNER FOR LIFE, SO IT SEEMED FITTING,” NORMA SAID. This penguin breed what can be spotted at Boulders Penguin Colony in Cape Town, Africa are famous because of their devotion to each other. 

And they are not only staying with their mate for life, but they are also take care of their babies together. 

However, despite their romantic nature, this lovely encounter is something you won’t see everyday among animals. 

Even if penguins have been spotted often holding hands. During their walk along the beach, this penguin couple glance at each other and, for a moment, their flippers and their faces form a heart shape. The romantic moment was nothing but a cherished memory for the Ramirez couple as they witness something so special. 

However, penguins are not the only romantic animals. Sea otters also hold hands to keep from drifting apart while they sleep. Maybe we could learn something about love from these adorable creatures.

 That’s what one tiny but very brave proved this week, after she defended her 10-year-old owner from a coyote, sustaining injuries in the process.

Recently, Macy was out for a walk with the family’s 10-year-old daughter — and things took a drastic turn when the girl came face-to-face with a wild coyote. 

But amazingly, the little dog stepped up to be a hero, facing off with the coyote to protect her owner.

The footage is distressing: you can see the coyote attacking Macy in the background as the girl cries for help. 

But ultimately, however, Macy is the victor in the showdown: Macy continues to bark, and eventually the coyote retreats, as if chased off by the smaller canine. “You can see our dog putting herself between my daughter and the coyote,” Dorothy Kwan told blogTO. 

“Even after she was seriously injured, she continued to bark and chase the coyote away. She fought back.” While Macy succeeded in fending off the coyote, she was still left with some severe injuries.

“She received extensive injuries to her body and leg,” Dorothy wrote. “She is undergoing surgery for her wounds at the emergency animal hospital.” GoFundMe
Dorothy was left hearbroken, knowing her beloved little dog got hurt all to save her daughter. “My heart is breaking for both my little one and our dog whom we rescued 5 years ago. I’m a single mom of two and my children and our dog mean everything to me.” 

Macy was taken to the animal hospital where she received care for her wounds, but the bill ended up costing thousands. 

But when the family put up a GoFundMe page raising money for the funds, sharing Macy’s heroic story with the world, people came through: the page has nearly $20,000, doubling its fundraising goal. GoFundMe
And even better, Macy is now recovering nicely, according to updates from Dorothy on the fundraising page. 

“Her fever is gone and she’s got her appetite back,” she wrote today. “I am so very proud of her. No coyotes will want to mess with her when she comes home. 

My feisty girl is a true fighter. I love you so very much. You can do this!” 

What a brave little dog. We hope heroic Macy makes a fast recovery!

Everyone knows how beautiful and popular the first series was(and I am really sure the remake will be a successful one, too), but what about a real live Mufasa and Simba moment? 

Well, it turns out this wildlife photographer managed to captured the perfect shot. And it recreates the famous Disney animation moment. 

 While making a documentary in Masai Mara, Kenya, the Parisian photographer Sabine Bernert managed to capture the adorable moment. The photos are illustrating a majestic lion surveilling his territory, while one of his cubs (definitely the most playful one) is sneaking from its father back and ask for a big hug. According to the photographer, the tender moment was captured while she was taking some photos for a children book. And what an adorable moment she managed to capture. “The lion pretended he hadn’t seen the cubs until the last second. Then they started to play joyfully. I especially love the moment when the male lion is hugging the cub softly – the contrast between his brute strength and his gentleness, the huge size of his paw very softly holding the little cub,” Sabine told the LADBible. 

  “I was amazed by the way this huge lion was playing so gently with the cubs. They really looked like they were enjoying themselves and have fun. With the delicate light of the sunrise, it was a pure moment of grace.” 

 As about the Lion King remake, it will be air in less than a month. So stay tuned!
