He Held Her Face And Drew Her In So She Could Feel His Heartbeat

Lee, the compassionate founder of The Asher House, has dedicated his life to not merely fostering animals in distress but enveloping them in the warmth and affection they have sorely missed. Upon meeting Millie, Lee immediately recognized the signs of her harsh past. Her emaciated condition and pervasive hesitancy towards people and her surroundings indicated a life previously marred by cruelty.

Despite nearing a state of emotional shutdown, Millie exhibited a lingering yearning for human connection, a spark that Lee was determined to kindle. Inspired by her resilience and inherent need for affection, Lee saw beyond her immediate condition to the loving and loyal companion she could become for a family.

Motivated by this vision, he embarked on a mission to nurture her back to health, addressing not just her physical needs but her emotional and psychological well-being as well. Lee’s journey with Millie highlights the transformative power of love and patience in healing and preparing rescue animals for a brighter future in loving homes.
As Millie slowly made her way over to Lee as he stood outside the exam room, the compassionate man kneeled down. She walked over with her head down.

But when her eyes met his, she knew this angel on earth was a good man. She lifted her head up and drew closer to him. Lee explains in the video that he pulled her toward him so she could feel his heartbeat.
Lee put Millie into his car to take her to The Asher House. There, in the backseat, she closed her eyes and slept. The comfort she already felt was incredible. A peace came over her body knowing she was in loving hands.

Once back at her new foster home, Millie meets the pack that’s filled with all types of animals. Her new friends are so important to her rehabilitation.

The short, delightful video will give you all the feels! Thank you, Lee, for giving Millie the second chance she deserves!
