K-9 Country Inn Working Service Dogs is a full-service training facility based in Ontario, Canada. At this training facility, the employees train service dogs to meet their handlers’ individual needs via their unique service dog support program.

The initial stages of the program include repetitive obedience and socialization training. Then, the dog progresses into the final stage, where they demonstrate their obedience.

When they leave the training facility, the dogs are well-mannered, outgoing, confident, and friendly with people, kids, and other animals. K-9 Country Inn heavily trains service dogs because they need to assist their handlers in their daily activities. Further, the dogs need to have the skills to save their owner’s life if necessary.

As part of their two-year program, the future service dogs of K-9 Country Inn are given a special task: watching Billy Elliot the Musical at the Stratford Festival. Seemingly, this exercise prepares the service dogs to accompany their handlers anywhere.

Inside the 1,800-seat theater, the dogs quietly watch the entire show amongst the other patrons. Theater etiquette requires them to sit still and remain quiet, a task that can be difficult for curious dogs.

The service dogs are expected to sit at their handler’s feet while they enjoy the show. However, some of the dogs did sneak a peek while the performance was underway. Luckily, they were caught on camera.

According to the head trainer, the dogs did a great job, and they were able to get through the show in their best behavior. Regardless, these wholesome photos will make you giggle because these dogs are so cute.

These super cute pictures were done by Miles Herbert, a British photographer who runs Captivelight, holding workshops and photography tuition for anyone interested in capturing “birds of prey, reptiles, frogs and other beasties.”

“These harvest Mice were photographed in an indoor studio,” Miles said. “We provide a service for photographers looking for high impact pictures of the animals, and using a purpose-built studio means that we are not weather dependent. There is also an option to photograph animals outside if the client wishes, our other specialty is frogs!”

“Nearly all the animals we photograph are captive bred; the mice are bred to release into the wild at a local nature reserve – we prefer to use captive-bred animals rather than disturbing wild populations, and captive bred animals are more sustainable.”

The mice get a treat during the sessions: they love to eat the stamens and the nectar of the flowers while Miles and his clients get to take great close-up shots.

Simon Dell, a wildlife photographer from Sheffield, United Kingdom, was taking pictures of birds in his garden, when he spotted a cute little house mouse standing on the grassy ground.

He knew he couldn’t miss the opportunity, so he came up with the brightest idea. With the intent of protecting the mouse from neighboring cats, and providing wonderful backdrops for his new subjects, Simon fashioned a house for the small mouse, that he named George. He built him a nice and functional house made from piles of logs, old fruits, and vegetables.

It didn’t take long for George to notice the lovely house Simon made, and he was more than happy to move there with his fellow mice That Simon named Mildred and Mini. Take a look at Simon’s wonderful photographs of George and his little family, while having the time of their lives in their cozy, new home.

Meet the tiny mice family enjoying Simon’s wonderful creation as their new home.

At first, the mice were still a bit shy, but when they grew accustomed to their host, they’d be peeking their noses out as Simon visits and hands them peanuts.

Because of the additional family members, Simon expanded their residence and turned it into a little village using berries, miniature items, and even ladders for easy access.

The log houses were specially made with 2-3 exits, so they could easily navigate around the small mice village.

Not only does George feed them for the sake of his photos but he also does it so they wouldn’t have to hunt outside and put their lives at risk.

Sometimes Mini peeks through her hole, waiting for extra peanuts.



The story of how George, Mildred, and Mini became permanent occupants of Simon’s garden circulated online, and the hearts of many were smitten.

It drove fans to leave wonderful comments on his photos, commending him for the adoption of the tiny family, and for creating a beautiful village for them all.

As time went by, the tiny village grew along with the addition of 2 more male mice that just moved to it.

Recently, Mildred was looking pregnant and Simon couldn’t be more glad to welcome additional members to his little village this coming Christmas.

It looks like it will be a very merry Christmas for George and his family, and it also means more beautiful photos for Simon to take.
