Family Saves Stranded Octopus – The Next Day, He Returns To Thank Them In Remarkable Fashion
“They are probably the closest we will come to meeting an intelligent alien,” said Peter Godfrey-Smith in his piece “The Mind of an Octopus” which was published in Scientific American Mind.

One family find out just how human-like the creatures are after saving an octopus that was stranded on a beach.
“We spent our Holidays at the Red Sea,” their YouTube video caption reads. “While walking along a lonely beach we saw a stranded octopus in the sand. We were not sure if he is already dead. So we pushed him back into the water.”

They thought that would be the last they ever saw of the octopus but the next day they found out this wasn’t the case.
“He needed some minutes to recover, then he swam away. Next day we went to the same beach for a walk,” the caption reads. “While walking along the beach we saw a shadow in the water coming very quickly to us. It was our octopus we rescued yesterday! He recognized us!”

Not only did the octopus recognize them but it seemed to be very fond of the family and grateful for their efforts to rescue him.
“He accompanied with us a long time while we walked along the beach, all the time tried to touch our feet,” the caption reads. “We are sure that this Octopus came back to thank us for saving his life. It’s amazing how intelligent animals are.”
Of course animals are intelligent! Humans are just one of thousands of species living that were all created by and put here on this planet by the same act of God or Science (whatever you believe), so it would be silly to think that we would be the only ones with intelligence and emotions.
One thing this family decided after their encounter with the octopus, who they named Kurt, is that they will never eat octopus again.
Watch their friendly encounter with Kurt in the video below & SHARE this with your friends and family.

Don't miss this Video, where "studio cat" interrupts German weather broadcast and demands cuddles! I'd actually watch the news if there was a cat.
I love it when workplaces have their own pets!

Found this upbringing little video while surfing the net. It is created by Robert, who works as a pet trainer and owns Didga, the first true cat-dog, who loves skateboarding and hanging out under palm trees! I follow them on instagram and always look forward to any update from them. To find out more about the story behind the video, simply check its Youtube description. This is how Robert described the video:
“Inspired by Pharrell William’s International “Happy” Hit! Lot’s of dogs and a cat playing at the beach”

When a beloved pet dies, it can be a heartbreaking experience, one you feel like you’re never going to recover from. It does take time to heal, and by then, you feel prepared to open your heart to another pet in your life.

That’s what happened to Steve Grieg after his dog had passed.

Even after several months had passed by, he was still crushed and didn’t feel like he was ever going to recover from this loss.

He wanted to open up his heart to another dog, but he needed the right dog to bring into his life.
Credit: Instagram
He went to his local shelter and sought the “most unadoptable” senior dog that they had.
Credit: Instagram
He wanted to find the dogs who had been overlooked and ignored who didn’t seem like they were ever going to find the forever homes of their own.
Credit: Instagram
The results? He now has ten shelter dogs who couldn’t be happier about him taking all of them home.
Credit: Instagram
He even has an Instagram filled with pictures and has tens of thousands of followers who love to see the antics that he and his dogs are up to on a daily basis.

Taking care of them is a lot of work, and he has to get up at five in the morning in order to prepare a large breakfast for all of his doggy children.

They all have special diets that need to be catered to, so it’s definitely a lot of work.

And then after a meal, he takes them all out on walks to the park, appointments at the vet, and filling the rest of their day with hugs and cuddles that they deserve.

Having these senior dogs is easy, as they don’t have to be trained or kenneled or be taught new tricks or obedience.

They like to take life slow, and that’s just fine with Steve.

Once he sits down after a long hard day, there’s always a few dogs attached to his legs that just want to tell him thank you for taking care of them.
Credit: Instagram
Knowing that he makes them happy is all that he needs to continue doing what he loves.

These dogs aren’t the only ones to benefit from his love and care.

He also has a pet pig named Bikini, two ducks, some pigeons, chickens and a few cats.
Credit: Instagram
He has a veritable animal farm in his yard, and he wouldn’t have it any other way.

Although he doesn’t have any more room to take in more senior dogs, he does intend to expand in the future so that no shelter dog will ever have to feel unloved ever again.

If you think us humans are creative beings when it comes to finding different or unconventional ways to fulfill our everyday needs, then you’ve never seen a kitten trying to keep warm and it’s not just the usual getting under your car to take advantage of the engine’s hotness it’s a lot more because, let’s face it, cats love warmth more than anything.
Either radiators, laptops, even your oven! Can’t find your kitten? Search in those places, they’re probably just enjoying a lovely warm afternoon in there and here are 25 pictures to prove it.
