This is the moment a paddle boarding family in England had a shocking but happy encounter with a hitchhiking seal.

Daren Ford and Kerrie Rocket were paddling along the River Arun near Littlehampton in West Sussex when a playful seal swam up to the group and climbed right up onto Kerrie’s board.

Daren from Hayling Island in Hampshire was able to record the unusual encounter with his camera.

Daren, a roofing company manager said they were five miles up the river and had dropped their boards in from the pontoon boat and were paddling for an hour or so.

“This was our first visit to this area and only my third time on a board,” he says. “We were chatting away oblivious that we were being followed by a seal.

“To our amazement the seal just started going from one board to another jumping on and relaxing!”


They had no food out and were not encouraging him in anyway, keeping their distance as much as possible.

At first they were worried that the seal was in trouble or maybe aggressive, but soon realized he was healthy and just being curious.

“It was an amazing experience but it never really sank in until we got home and realized how rare this actually happens.”

Kathy Johnson's 2-year-old grandson was bullied out of his kiddie pool this week in the wildlife-rich Painted Hills neighborhood of Spokane Valley.

A bull moose took refuge from temperatures in the 80s Tuesday afternoon by sneaking into the Johnsons' backyard and cooling off in the inflatable pool.


"It's not really one of those little pools," Johnson said. "It's actually quite big except when there's a moose in it. "The funny thing is that just last week a cow moose did the same thing," she said, as though word was spreading through the valley moose population that the Johnson's pool was a hot-spot for beating the summer heat.

"The cow hung out in the pool for a long time and then got up and nibbled around the yard," Johnson said. "The bull didn't stay as long, and when he got up from the pool he moved on."

Johnson was especially amazed that the hooves of the adult-size moose, which can weigh well over 500 pounds, did no damage to the plastic pool.

Teenager Sam Steingard was struggling to find a date for prom, but then he decided to solve his problem in the cutest way possible.

According to The Animal Rescue Site, since he wasn’t planning on staying at the prom very long, he decided to bring his cat Ruby instead of a traditional prom date.


The Steingard family found Ruby behind a Ruby Tuesday restaurant when she’s was just a little kitten, and she’s been part of the family ever since.

Now, Ruby has been a part of Sam’s life for over 10 years, and she was more than happy to be her human’s prom date.


Stengaird’s mother, Joanne, made sure that Ruby looked the part for the big day.

She bought her a beautiful dress and even outfitted her with a sparkly collar to make the outfit complete.

Ruby, who was beautiful to begin with, turned into a real belle of the ball.

Once they both were dressed to the teeth, Joanne snapped some traditional prom pictures of the adorable pair.

One of the pictures was then posted online by Sam’s sister and it quickly went viral.




Now, millions of people have viewed the picture and it’s been reposted all around the web. Everyone is absolutely loving the goofy pair and people from all over the world are swooning over Ruby.


Her new-found fame has spawned an Instagram page, rubytheprettykitty, where fans of Ruby can see more of her and the Steingard family.

When Huxley’s mom took him on his very first plane ride, the Golden Retriever puppy soon discovered what we all know: planes are boring.

Huxley got annoyed when his mom didn’t provide him with the attention and entertainment he demanded, and he decided to teach her a lesson and take matters into his own hands.


The pup seemingly reasoned that if his mom wasn’t willing to shower him with attention, perhaps someone else was!

So, Huxley left his mom’s side and went to sit down next to the man in the row in front.


“He spent 30 minutes in that seat; the man next to him said he was a very good passenger and the man across the aisle was taking selfies with him,” Huxley’s mom said in an interview with the Dodo.


While in the seat, however, Huxley realize that his mom had opened a snack!

Octopus makes an unbelievable getaway from an aquarium back to the ocean

Nothing says Christmas like nativity scenes, and you can find different versions of them set up in front of churches and houses all over during the holiday season. But you’ve never seen a nativity scene quite like this one…


The groomers at Wags To Riches, a grooming company in England, decided to stage their very own nativity scene with some freshly groomed pups, and the result is just too adorable.

But how did they get all of the dogs to cooperate so nicely?

“It’s amazing what dogs will do for a biscuit,” the owners of Wags to Riches told The Dodo. “They were all happy to sit for the photo.”

While the puppy in the manger is fake (a pottery figurine), the rest are well-behaved pets from clients along with the business’ resident dog.

When a beloved pet goes missing, it’s always a sad and frightening experience for the his owners. However, in the case of the Krier family, it turned out to be a hilarious and extraordinary experience.

One night, their black Labrador named Bo went missing. According to Laura Krier, their family’s property in Kansas is surrounded by open fields, so they assumed that Bo went out just to explore around. He didn’t come home that night, and that made Laura and his husband Kyle get worried.
The next day they got a call, telling them that a dog corresponding to Bo’s description was spotted running around a field about 6 miles away.

Kyle Krier went to the said location to pick up Bo. Much to his surprise, Bo was not alone. Apparently, he went on an adventure with his two friends, Libby, another dog, and Ozzy, a goat. The two animals belong to the Krier family’s neighbors, Chris and Shawna Huggans. Everyone now believes that the three animals planned their escapade and left their homes to explore the nearby fields together. It was definitely an experience that the Krier family will endlessly talk and laugh about.
