Their lovely conversation was caught on by officer’s body camera, and it is nothing short of adorable! The deputy and her colleague were driving on a mountain road near the town of Nederland, when they spotted a tiny bird on the side of it. 

The little creature seemed lost, so the officer decided to investigate. Moments later, the two had the cutest standoff ever. Only after she got off the vehicle and approached the bird, the deputy noticed it is a northern saw-whet owl. As she reached the lonely bird, the officer kindly asked: “Hey, what’s up?!” 

Though she wasn’t expecting an answer, it surprisingly came straight away. The baby owl just had the sweetest reaction when hearing human voice, so it immediately started to twist her tiny head around. 

A moment that sent the officer into laughter. Then, the deputy said ‘hi’ once again, and the little bird’s reaction was as adorable as before. 

The sweet and so funny conversation then came to an end, as the deputies made sure the tiny owl safely crossed the road and find its way in the trees next to road. The short footage was then shared online by the Boulder Police Department. Our deputies were driving when they were stopped in their tracks by this young Northern Saw-Whet Owl,” they wrote on Facebook. 

“After some curious head twisting (on both sides) it flew safely away.”

 But it seems that animals are also drawn to Nativity scenes. Sometimes people find unexpected visitors in their mangers where Jesus should be. 

But just like Mary and Joseph, they’re just looking for a place to stay. Nádia Rosângela, from Brazil, took her husband and two-year-old son to visit the local Nativity scene. 

 There was no baby Jesus figure yet, which is traditionally put out on Christmas Eve. But to the family’s surprise, there was someone sleeping in the manger. A stray dog! It was a beautiful image—the dog sound asleep curled up in the manger, with figures of Mary and Joseph watching over her. Nádia was moved by the unexpected scene. 

“I was surprised. It was so beautiful!” Nádia told The Dodo. 

“Such a lovely and pure scene.” “He was asleep the whole time,” she told Cidade Verde. 

“Other people arrived, took pictures, admired themselves, kept talking and he was in a wonderful sleep.” Throughout all the attention, the dog kept sound asleep.

Nádia couldn’t take the dog in herself—she already had a lot of pets at home—but still wanted to help. She took photos of the dog and posted them on social media. 

Soon, a friend of hers took in the stray, ensuring that the lonely dog would never spend a night looking for warmth and shelter again. 

“I feel happy and at peace knowing she’s safe,” Nádia told The Dodo. “I love animals very much, and wish the same for all of them.” It’s a Christmas miracle — and a true reminder of what this season is all about. 

“A very beautiful image, especially for those who are Christians,” Nádia told Cidade Verde. “I was thrilled and imagined how Jesus Christ is present in so many things, in so many creatures, in so many beings. For me, that puppy was Jesus making himself present.”

  The truth is that for the cats it is a real attic, a surveillance altar where they look at absolutely EVERYTHING and everyone. 

Not a single customer escapes them. But besides looking at them in anonymity, they also meow and scold them. It turns out that on the normal ceiling, which is generally in all commercial premises, this man removed some panels and replaced them with glass.

 That was the case for one veteran and his beloved service dog, who have such an unbreakable bond that when it came to his wedding day, he had to have his dog involved in a special way. Justin Lansford is a US Army veteran from Silver Spring, Maryland. In 2012, he was deployed as a paratrooper to Afghanistan and suffered an accident. 

  “We struck an IED and it flipped my truck completely,” Justin told ABC News. “I had bilaterally severed femurs which resulted in the amputation of my left leg.” 

 But while recovering at the hospital, Justin got an opportunity that would change his life. A group called Warrior Canine Connections pairs wounded servicemen with support dogs. 

 Justin was paired with a golden retriever named Gabe.

  Gabe was invaluable in helping Justin readjust after losing his leg. 

  “The less I use my wheelchair, the more I need his help in smaller tasks and the more he is there,” Justin said. “It has been very comforting to know that.” 

  “He helps me with one thing to the next. I can use him as a stable surface to lean on, as I get to and from the ground.

But Gabe did more than just help him around. He quickly proved to be a source of emotional support and friendship. “Since day one, we’ve been joined to the hip,” Justin told the New York Daily News.  “He’s there for me all day, every day.” 

 The dog made a big impact not only on Justin, but on his longtime girlfriend Carol, who worked for Warrior Canine Connections and knew the deep connection they shared. 

  “You have to make sure a support dog is always happy and that they’ll love the person they’re with forever,” Carol told Buzzfeed. 

So when Justin & Carol got married in 2015, it felt only right to have Gabe be part of the ceremony. But while some people have their dogs act as ring bearers or just as guests, Justin wanted his beloved dog by his side on his big day and gave him a position of honor: his best man. 

  “He goes everywhere I go,” Justin told the Daily News. “He’s certainly there to pick me up emotionally when I need it. Why would the wedding be any different?”

The bride certainly had no objections to Justin’s unique choice. “Justin and Gabe go everywhere together and our wedding did not seem like it should be any different of an occasion,” Carol said. 

“It was really cool to have him right by me,” Justin said. “I don’t think there was a dry eye at that point. It was a pretty steady ‘aww’ throughout the entire wedding.”

Your wedding is a very special day, a time when you want to be surrounded by the friends and family who have supported you the most. It seems only natural that Gabe be at the heart of their big day.
