Moving into a new home can feel both a little scary and exciting. Partly because it always takes some time to settle in and get used to your new surroundings, but also because you have no idea who your neighbors are.

Hopefully you have nice neighbors that you feel comfortable enough to ask for a cup of sugar if needed, but I’ve also heard horror stories about neighbors who make the lives of those living around them a misery.

When Rosie moved into her new house in the U.K. she suspected one of her neighbors might be a secret admirer; every time she went outside she found pink flowers on her porch.

At first she thought the wind had blown them outside her house but the weather didn’t tie in with that theory and why was it that it was only pink flowers that ended up outside her house?

It was then she began to suspect she had a secret admirer.


One day when she was preparing dinner she caught a glimpse of the admirer. It was a girl and she had a flower in her mouth.

She rushed to fetch her camera so she could record the flower girl in action.

This furry little creature had been entering Rosie’s porch time after time to leave a small floral gift. The admirer was no less than the neighbor’s cat, Willow.


Rosie had met Willow when she moved in but she had no idea she was such a charmer.

It did not take long until Willow began to sit outside Rosie’s window and wouldn’t go away until Rosie let her in.

But Rosie is not the only one who Willow leaves flowers for. She is very popular in the neighborhood and is said to be the queen of at least six gardens.

“She clearly likes us because she steals flowers from (her owners) and leaves them on our deck. It was at least ten flowers before we realized it was her.” Rosie told LoveMeow.

I can’t decide if my favorite part is the poop-etrator turning tail and running away, or the friend just staring at the evidence, like, “what the heck, man?” Hold on, I’m gonna watch this another 30 times just to be sure.

Adorable spotted kittens were found in a farmer’s barn. Many people living on farms have heard this scenario before. I know I have. We have two house cats that we’ve adopted that were orphaned in our barn before we even owned any cats. Most farmers can relate to this story. But these kittens were just a little bit different than your average house cat.


Realizing that the tiny spotted kittens with eyes still shut were too young to fend for themselves and not catching any sighting of the mother, the farmer called the Daursky Nature Reserve for assistance. It did not take long for the reserve experts to point out that these were not your average house cats. In fact, they were a type of rare wild cats called Pallas or Manuls. This type of wild cat can grow to about 6 pounds in weight.


Not having an available Palla to raise the orphans, the reserve did the next best thing. They enlisted the help from two domestic cats that lived at the reserve. The introductions thankfully went well and the orphan kittens were no longer motherless. The kittens now had not one but two house cats that raised them as their own.




When the kittens have grown large enough to fend for themselves, the plan is to release them back into the wild where they belong. Thanks to the farmer and the caring individuals at the reserve these kittens have a chance at a life of freedom. They would not have survived at such a young age if compassionate people would not have stepped in and given them a helping hand.

One passage in Oliver Twist pulls at my heartstrings. It was when Oliver is in the orphanage, and they have just finished eating.

Oliver is still hungry. So he takes his empty bowl up to the server and asks for more. There is nothing more pitiful than a hungry child having to beg for food. Except perhaps a hungry animal in search of food.


While filming a segment to bring to light the need, homeless animals have the non-profit group called World Animal Awareness Society caught something that couldn’t have been planned.

They set out to capture what it is like to live as a homeless animal. They wanted to show people how hard life is when an animal is forced to fend for itself on the streets.
