The world has gotten increasingly more difficult to live in. Housing prices have sky rocketed while average salaries have practically stayed the same. Work is no longer 9-5 but 12-12 thanks to cellphones.

Your TV is slimmer than ever, but you are most likely larger. Oh, and while picking out filters and posting photos on Instagram seems fun, you were actually having more fun before your cellphone offered a distraction from everything.

I’m an optimist by nature, but even I have to admit that in many ways the world has changed for the worst.

They received news from the shelter the puppies reached their “deadline.” The shelter scheduled the dogs’ euthanization.
Their post was a cry for help posted on Facebook:

• “I’m Kala. This is Keira we’re so scared in here. The people working in the shelters see how scared we are but just said that today is our deadline. We need someone to rescue us or we’ll be “next.”

• “She tells me to be brave too but I don’t know if I can be. Can you see our faces. Keira knows what will happen. You can see it in her eyes. She’s putting on a brave face for sure but I can feel her heart beating fast while I’m clinging to her.

• If no one saves us, someone will take her away from me. I’ll see her as she goes down the hallway. She won’t come back and I’ll cry. They’ll come for me next and I won’t be as brave. We’ve comforted each other while we were here. She gave me hope when I had none. Now it’s over. Unless…”

A murmuration is the intricately choreographed movements of a large flock of starlings as they swoop through the sky. The phenomena appears like an undulating cloud, quickly shifting directions, density and shape as it traverses overhead.

Due to a relatively warm winter in the Netherlands between 2014 and 2015, many starlings stayed in the country rather than migrating south.

Filmmaker Jan van IJken captured one such air show in his short film The Art of Flying, which can be watched in full on his website.

Recently, we have been hearing tons of stories about dogs being left out at cold, leading them to very unfortunate conditions. Some lose their paws due to frostbite, while others simply can’t fight the cold and give up on their lives. Because of a minor insensibility of their owners, poor dogs have to go through the most horrific fate.


But now, finally, the lawmakers have decided to put this entire problem to an end. Pennsylvania recently signed a law last June, House Bill 1238, also known as Libre’s Law, which protects the pets against cruelty, abuse and neglect. Now, as a part of the same law, they have restricted leaving pets in harsh winter conditions as well. According to the law, the owner of the pet will be charged with a felony if found doing so.




It also states that the owner cannot be left outside for more than 30 minutes in temperatures above 90 or below 32 degrees Fahrenheit.

Any owner to break this rule may have to face felony animal cruelty charges, including 7 years in prison and a fine of $15,000.


It is a great way to put animal negligence and abuse to an end. With so many cases of them being tortured, the authorities encourage people to call 911 immediately in case they witness any such incident.
