Mama, a 59-year-old chimpanzee and the matriarch of a famous chimpanzee colony was gravely ill. In this touching video, she was unable to eat and sensed she was coming to the end of her life when she is visited by her old caretaker and lifelong friend. The result is one of the most emotional and heart-breaking moments I’ve ever seen between animal and human.

When the Royal Zoo in Arnhem, the Netherlands reached out to her old caretaker, Jan van Hooff, who is emeritus professor behavioral biology at Utrecht University and co-founder of the Burgers colony, he immediately came to see her.

Van Hooff has known Mama since 1972 and he saw her a week before she died of old age in April of 2016. It took a while before she became aware of Jan’s presence, but his voice and touch reawakens something in her, and the reaction she has at the moment she recognizes him is one you will want to see.

If anyone has any doubts as to the ability of chimps to show emotional connections, this should put any doubts to rest.

“I bought a chicken coop, raised it up and added a floor. It opens into the house. The cats love it!” Jacsmom explaned on reddit.

“I used plywood, carpet and wire grid that we we already had, so just the cost of the wheels which was about 20 extra buck, so $200 total. I definitely recommend wheels, you can disconnect it from the house very easily that way when you go away from home and want the window locked extra tight.”

Meet Yeti, Odlin, Sampson, and Apolo: four of the rarest big cats in the world!

These adorable brothers are ligers—lion-tiger hybrids. Ligers are extremely rare. There are only about 1,000 of them in the world, and most of these animals live in captivity.

Yeti, Odlin, Sampson, and Apolo are even rarer than other ligers. They’re believed to be the first white ligers ever born!
The brothers’ parents are Ivory, a white lion, and Saraswati, a white tiger. White lions and tigers are almost as rare as ligers—there are just 1,200 white tigers and 300 white lions in the world.

This sanctuary has successfully bred ligers before. One of their ligers, Hercules, is the biggest cat in the world according to the Guinness Book of World Records. Hercules is 922 pounds, but despite his big size, he’s still a sweetheart who loves playing with his handlers and his new nephews.

Yeti, Odlin, Sampson, and Apolo are gaining about a pound of weight a day. Dr. Antle, the founder of the T.I.G.E.R Sanctuary, is amazed by the cubs’ growth. He told the Daily Mail:

“I skip a day seeing them and it looks like they’ve doubled in size. It’s like someone’s blowing them up with a tire pump.”

The liger cubs love swimming like tigers and are sociable like lions. They also have their own unique personality traits. Apollo is the smallest of the four, and he also behaves the most like a house cat. The little animal loves curling up with his handlers and having them pet him.

Yeti is the most boisterous of the four, and he always wants to be the center of attention. He’s also the biggest of the four cats—Dr. Antle thinks that he may end up even being bigger than his uncle Hercules.

By the time they’re two years old, Dr. Antle believes that all four cats will be at least 10 feet tall and weigh around 750 pounds. It’s hard to imagine these tiny animals getting that big!

Recently, a YouTuber from Canada by the name of “T3” uploaded a hilarious video, and it’s already getting a ton of attention.

“Took the dogs to their favorite spot for a walk and they do this every time,” he wrote.

Luna and her three canine companions are German shorthaired pointers, a breed known for being affectionate, active, and loyal.

At first, all is calm inside the car. But just as Dad reveals their destination, the mood instantly changes.

“Alright y’all, where we going?” he asks.

It doesn’t take long for the four big pups to figure it out. They get so excited he’s nearly forced to pull over so they can calm down!
