There’s a reason why ancient Egyptians worshipped cats. They are majestic animals, which are very intelligent. If you are a person who loves cats and follows cat news on social media, then you must have heard of Narnia. Narnia has his own YouTube channel, too.

Narnia is a 3-year-old cat with a two-colored face, split with a single line through the middle, which grabs the attention of anyone who sees it. He has a gray and a black side. Narnia was born in Paris and now lives in Britain.


It was first believed he was a rare chimera cat, but tests showed that it wasn’t the case and the mystery is – he has only one DNA.

Today, Narnia is the father of two, Phoenix and Prada, which have taken their fur color from each side of Narnia’s face. One of them is gray, and the other one – black.


Narnia’s owner, Stephanie, says Narnia is a great dad and enjoys spending time and playing with his kittens.


This isn’t the first time Narnia’s a dad. All of his kittens have different color variations. Narnia’s eyes are also mesmerizing – look at this pure blue color.


All of his kittens have his eyes. “It is very rare, there are only a few cats in the world that are fully colored and have blue eyes. This is a new gene called “ice,” said Stephanie. Usually, white cats have blue eyes.

Dogs are well known as man’s best friend, but this heartwarming story proves that dogs show up for each other, too.

When a German shepherd named Marley was (presumably) hit by a car in Muscoy, California, her fellow stray, Murphy, refused to leave his best friend’s side. The pair patiently waited for hours as traffic whizzed by, without a single car stopping to help. After several hours, a driver finally stopped to check on the injured animals, and promptly called Dream Fetchers: Project Rescue.


“We received a message she was lying on the side of the road,” Faith Easdale, one of the rescuers affiliated with the non-profit organization, told The Dodo. “Marley was in terrible distress and pain and breathing heavily. We weren’t even sure if she was going to make it.”

Murphy continued to keep watch as Easdale and another rescuer lifted the wounded dog into the car. Once the larger dog was safely inside, little Murphy curled up beside Marley on the back seat, even resting his head on her belly.


“She was very heavy and hard to move, but we did it,” Easdale recalled. “Murphy wouldn’t leave her side on the street.”

Murphy continued to comfort Marley as rescuers raced to the hospital, X-rays confirmed that the German Shepard had indeed broken multiple bones. But tests also revealed a second, more surprising discovery. Marley was pregnant, she was going to have 11 puppies.


Murphy waited by Marley’s side for the first few days, only relaxing when he seemed to realize the pregnant dog was finally safe. “He was able to be with her in the hospital but she was so critical that he wanted to go run and play,” said Easdale, who would go on to help both Murphy find his forever home.

Marley’s delivery, meanwhile, wasn’t painless, but the injured mom still managed to birth 11 healthy puppies, which she attentively cuddled and nursed despite having casts on two legs.


Two years – and many veterinary visits later — Marley has fully recovered from her injuries, meanwhile her puppies are fully grown and in their own homes. “Marley is just as sweet and beautiful as the day we brought her home,” her new family wrote on Facebook. “She plays like she has never had a broken bone.”

Beautiful, Giant, And Nearly Frozen Waves Are Captured On Camera By Nantucket Photographer

Photographer Jonathan Nimerfroh found himself staring at an ocean full of Slurpee. The waters of the Atlantic Ocean looked like it due to the unusually cold temperatures that were making it freeze. Lakes freeze every year, but oceans freezing is a rare sight.

The photographer/surfer/ocean enthusiast set out to capture the beauty of this rare event. While the partially-frozen waves churned and hit the shore, they appeared to be made out of something thicker than water. Jonathan describes the sight as follows, “The wind was howling from the southwest which would typically make rough or choppy conditions, not so good for surfing. But since the surface of the sea was frozen slush, the wind did not change the shape. They were perfect dreamy slush waves.” The pictures below show this bizarre phenomenon.

They were a strange, thick consistency.


His photo series “Slurpee Waves” is breathtaking.


The unusual look of the waves comes from the shifts in the water and air temperature.


When he took these photos, the temperature in Nantucket was 19°F.


In “Stay Wild Magazine,” he talked about the day he took the photos: “Just been super cold here. The harbor to the mainland is frozen solid … The day after I took these it actually froze up the shoreline for 200 yards out.”


Jonathan is “obsessed with the ocean,” and, in addition to his sea-centric photography, is an avid surfer.
