This kitty gravestone will hit you right in the feels

Cats have a way of leaving paw prints on our hearts. So, when they have to leave us, it can take a toll. This kitty gravestone is incredibly touching.

“On my way up the Massachusetts. Had to stop en route to take a photo of the finest cat’s grave I know of,” Paul Koudounaris shared on Instagram.

It reads: “Dewey, 1898-1910. He was only a cat, but he was human enough to be a great comfort in hours of loneliness and pain.”

The internet has since poured with their love for our feline friends.

“Cats are not dogs in the sense of “mans best friend”. They don’t fetch or open fridges and bring you a beer. But they can still be the shoulder to cry on. And when you feel alone and lost, just jumping on my lap laying down and purring can be comforting. Look into a cats eyes that you raised and cared for and loved as much as any human and you will see the same love and trust they have for you,” shared Verypoorman on reddit.

From the Terry Pratchett’s book Sorcery:

“I meant,” said Ipslore bitterly, “what is there in this world that truly makes living worthwhile?” Death thought about it. CATS, he said eventually. CATS ARE NICE.”

Cherish the times with your fur babies.
