Photographer Takes Portraits Of “Perfectly Imperfect” Animals To Help Them Find New Homes

Alex Cearns is a well-known photographer of animals. While there are many who are already familiar with her works, this recent series is truly a sight to behold. 

Perfectly Imperfect: Dog Portraits of Resilience is a photography masterpiece. 

Alex has taken the time to capture disabled dogs and cats in their true essence, shedding light on their conditions. Aryah is deaf in one ear, with a deformed face and missing eye to match. She has not allowed her circumstances to change her gentle nature.



Poor Vegemite was attacked by a dog and lost his eye in the process. He is still as sweet as can be.


Mya’s blind after losing both of her eyes to glaucoma but the rest of her senses remain keen.
