A Rare, Golden Flapshell “Grilled Cheese” Turtle Was Found in India

Recently a golden flapshell turtle was discovered in India. It is a common type of turtle in South Asia and it’s been spotted in the region with its unique coloring several times.

It is believed to be caused by albinism which makes the animals turn white but not this time.
Though these species are not uncommon, they don’t survive in the wild that long because of their coloring.

They are like bananas, sun, egg yolks, and daffodils. So they can blend with nothing in nature and are always at the center of attention.
