Snoopy in real life: dog named Bayley is the cartoon dog's identical twin

Everybody loves Snoopy — Charlie Brown’s adventurous pet beagle is one of the most famous cartoon dogs in the world.

Now, the internet is going crazy for a real-life pet dog who is Snoopy’s doppelgänger — meet Bayley:

The resemblance is uncanny. Though Snoopy is a beagle and Bayley is a Mini Sheepadoodle, Bayley could be Snoopy’s identical twin with her white body and black ears.

Bayley first went viral thanks to a post from the Instagram page @doodledogsclub, which called her “the spitting image of Snoopy” and showed a side-by-side photo with the beloved Peanuts pet.

“With those big ears and that button nose, Bayley is the perfect real-life version of our favorite cartoon dog,” the account wrote. The photo received over 1.2 million likes on Instagram.

Bayley is also the star of her own Instagram account, which has over 180 thousand followers. Bayley’s owners update the page with photos of the sweet dog living her best life. One video shows the dog enjoying a “pup cup” from Starbucks.

According to the page, Bayley’s birthday is May 4, 2021, so she will be turning 2 soon. Bayley is a mini sheepadoodle, a cross between an old English sheepdog and a miniature poodle.

The hybrid breed is known for their friendly and playful demeanor.

Snoopy, who has become one of the most popular characters in the world since his comic strip debut in 1950, was actually inspired by a real dog named Spike who belonged to Peanuts author Charles M. Schulz.
