A dinghy full of tourists saw the nature film of a lifetime, right in front of their eyes. 

Flowers are the embodiment of life and beauty. Its wide array of colors, variety of shapes and sizes, and unique scents make it a fascinating subject for photography, and it does not take a genius to appreciate its charm.

To many nature photographers, there is no muse as quite as magical as a field of flowers. Samir Belhamra is a visual artist who loves aerial photography and his wish to explore the mesmerizing meadows from soaring perspectives landed him in a lavender field in France.

Just take a look at this picturesque aerial view of a Lavender field that perfectly shows the beauty of nature. Situated in Valensole, a picturesque town in Provence, this field of flowers blankets the golden landscape in shades of purple, is so breathtaking.

“I took this with my drone this summer, the Lavender fields with lost sight. Welcome to Valensole in South of France” Belhamra wrote on his Reddit post. But this is not the only awe-inspiring footage of Belhamra, he has a series of photos shared on his Instagram. Together with his video, these photos prove the unmistakable beauty of the field, whether photographed on a starry night or filmed from a summer sky.

The bird is 200 feet long, 150 feet wide, and 70 feet tall, and it’s body doubles as a roof for the Earth Center’s building making this work of art a functional one. It comes as no surprise that this incredible structure took Anchal and his team 10 years to complete. It’s a sculpture that features meticulous details you wouldn’t expect at such a large scale, including individually decorated and layered feathers. It is located near Kerala, and Jatayu Earth Centre became one of the best places to visit while traveling around India.

The Great Trail of Canada is nearly 15,000 miles long, connecting major cities to all the natural wonders in between


The Great Trail of Canada is now open for hikers, bikers, kayakers and skiers.

The nearly 15,000-mile-long national treasure took a quarter century to build and has been called the largest volunteer effort in Canadian history.

It will give Canadians easy access to some of the country’s most breathtaking natural wonders.

Rather than a single trail, The Great Trail is a network of hundreds of local trails and greenways that are all now connected by a single “thread.”


Whether you’re starting in the East at St. John’s or starting in the West at Victoria, you’ll have over 400 individual trails to travel through.

They weave across all 10 provinces, with a huge looping detour north through the Yukon and Northwest Territories to the Arctic Ocean.

The Great Trail consists mainly of dirt paths and rugged mountain terrain, but that doesn’t mean you’ll be able to traverse the whole thing with just a pair of hiking boots.

Over 25 percent of the trails are water “trails,” which require a kayak or canoe.


Motorized vehicles, for the most part, are forbidden on the trail, except for snowmobiles. Cross-country skiing, horseback riding and cycling are other acceptable modes of transportation.


If you ever found the time to make it across the whole trail, you’d cover just about every type of terrain imaginable, from mountains, lakes and plains, to coastal islands, and even the dreaded frozen tundra.


While most the trail is found in the back-country, a good chuck still runs through urban areas in major cities such as: Halifax, Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, Winnipeg and Edmonton.


The longest part of the trail wraps around the Great Lakes in Ontario, where there’s the most fresh water in the world. The views in and around these waters are absolutely stunning.


So, if you’re looking for the adventure of a lifetime, look no further. The rugged backcountry of Oh Canada awaits!

If you are interested in photography, this photo series of the wave is going to make your head spin. 

Imagine…you and your buddy are out in the middle of nowhere, cruising on your bikes down a mountain and out of the corner of your eye, you see a massive Grizzly bear heading straight for your buddy!

Well, that was a reality for the guys in the video below. Luckily or the world…the riders were wearing GoPro cameras on their helmets.

As the riders barreled down the mountain, a grizzly bear starts chasing the first rider. The second rider, not know what to do…keeps on rolling down the hill with caution. Luckily for the pair, the bear decided they were not worth the chase!

This all took place on a popular bike path in Slovakia.

Beautiful, Giant, And Nearly Frozen Waves Are Captured On Camera By Nantucket Photographer

Photographer Jonathan Nimerfroh found himself staring at an ocean full of Slurpee. The waters of the Atlantic Ocean looked like it due to the unusually cold temperatures that were making it freeze. Lakes freeze every year, but oceans freezing is a rare sight.

The photographer/surfer/ocean enthusiast set out to capture the beauty of this rare event. While the partially-frozen waves churned and hit the shore, they appeared to be made out of something thicker than water. Jonathan describes the sight as follows, “The wind was howling from the southwest which would typically make rough or choppy conditions, not so good for surfing. But since the surface of the sea was frozen slush, the wind did not change the shape. They were perfect dreamy slush waves.” The pictures below show this bizarre phenomenon.

They were a strange, thick consistency.


His photo series “Slurpee Waves” is breathtaking.


The unusual look of the waves comes from the shifts in the water and air temperature.


When he took these photos, the temperature in Nantucket was 19°F.


In “Stay Wild Magazine,” he talked about the day he took the photos: “Just been super cold here. The harbor to the mainland is frozen solid … The day after I took these it actually froze up the shoreline for 200 yards out.”


Jonathan is “obsessed with the ocean,” and, in addition to his sea-centric photography, is an avid surfer.

California’s super bloom is a visual spectacle. From the deserts of Anza-Borrego to the vast Carrizo Plain National Monument, abundant seasonal rains produce a carpet of color across a large portion of the state.

Super blooms, or a number of wildflowers exceeding normal spring blooms, typically occur in desert landscapes when excess rain is followed by cold weather, which locks moisture into the ground.
