The video of a man skipping a wedding ceremony to rescue a dog fits perfectly the one mentioned above. The video was first shared on Reddit and some netizens speculated that the incident was reported near the Lim River that flows through Montenegro. 

In the three-minute-long video, a dog can be seen looking up at the concrete base near the overflowing stream. Within moments, a man decked up in a formal two-piece suit approaches the riverside to start his rescue attempt. The man removes his two-piece coat and tries to reach the struggling canine as the water continues to flow rapidly beneath the dog. 

Another man enters the frame and joins forces with the man to rescue the dog. Lending a helping hand, he pulls the man from behind and saved the dog successfully. 

As the video is close to the end, the man hugs another woman who rushes to the spot. The dog was seen following the man who rescued him. Giving the incident a sweet little ending.

One night, the man put party hats on the two dogs and petted them while sitting on a stairway. As no birthday party is complete without a cake, he then goes ahead and pulls out a small cake from a plastic bag. 

Lighting some candles, the man is then heard singing “Happy Birthday” to his dogs and showering them with kisses. Choco, the name of the man is then seen serving his dogs a piece of the cake each before tasting it himself.

Rótelo, a journalist who first posted the video, said the man lives on the street of the Cabecera neighborhood in Barranquilla, Bucaramanga. 

Despite being homeless, the man is known for taking care of his dogs and is often seen with his furry friends. As the video went viral, many approached him and showered him with love and some generous gifts. 

Residents have dropped by at a meeting spot in San Pío Park and donated several things for the man and his dogs.

As per the search results on Instagram, Choco, whose real name is José Luis Matos, is originally from the municipality of El Peñón. 

He said the birthday party was to celebrate his dog Shaggy’s—the black one in the video—fourth birthday. His other dog, Nena, has been with him for 10 years and his birthday is in November. 

Answering questions from people who joined his Instagram live, he said physical abuse forced him to leave home and start living on the street. He also shared his dream to pursue music and open an animal shelter.

It seems to be the best decision she has ever made, because now her dog family is made up of 8 hairy ones and it has been an experience she has enjoyed to the fullest. 

And the dogs couldn’t be more grateful. She calls them The Fowler Herd. One of them fought a disease until he lost the mobility in his legs. However, he was happy until the last day. “Hayden crossed the Rainbow Bridge after a battle with degenerative myelopathy.” From that moment on, she decided to honor him by helping other dogs with similar conditions. 

“I currently have eight dogs. Six are special needs and two are German shepherds I had before adopting the others,” she said. The fact is, the Fowler Herd has lacked nothing. They’re all very happy playing together in the snow, always under Tracy’s noble care. 

She says that, despite what you might think, taking care of a handicapped dog isn’t so hard after all. Although it takes dedication. She’s gonna keep helping these dogs as long as she can. Animals, too, have been invaluable in the war effort, working alongside soldiers to save lives and provide morale. And one new recruit might be the most unexpected: a former Russian war dog who has “switched sides” after being rescued by Ukrainian troops. 

Max, a 3-year-old Belgian Malinois, was originally part of Kremlin troops who captured a village in Mykolaiv, according to the Daily Star. 

But the dog got left behind as the forces retreated, and was later found by members of the Ukrainian National Guard, emaciated and starving.

 

“We can’t understand why the Russians would leave behind such as lovely animal,” one of the soldiers told the Daily Star. 

The troops were surprised the dog was abandoned — not only was it inhumane but war dogs are valuable, specially trained and usually have a strong bond with their handlers. But Russia’s loss was Ukraine’s gain: the soldiers saved the dog — and Max, despite being trained by Russian, switched allegiances, and is now working with the Ukrainian soldiers. 

“From now on, Max will serve on the right side, defending Ukraine and nibbling Russian asses,” said Dmitry, a member of the National Guard, according to a Facebook post. 

After regaining his health, Max found a job with his new allies, sniffing out booby traps and Russian mines. He joins heroic dogs like Patron, saving countless lives.

  It’s quite a story, and the troops are happy that Max made the right choice — and are proud that they were able to take in this new recruit. 

“Max has become a real favourite with the guards,” the troops told Daily Star. “Ukrainians love dogs, they regard them as part of the family.”
