This breathtaking footage shows the moment a young dolphin was rescued after washing up on the beach. The marine mammal was found on a beach in Namibia and given a helping hand back to health. 

 That is exactly what happened to one woman in Argentina after she took her “kitten” to the veterinarian. Florencia Lobo explained to Reuters that the mix up occurred when she was in the northwest Argentinian province of Tucumán with her brother.

“We thought that it was an abandoned cat who had given birth,” she told Reuters. Florencia also noted that the female kitten didn’t survive, but the male kitten – who she named Tito – did. PHOTO: FARA FUNDACION ARGENTINA DE RESCATE ANIMAL
Florencia added that the vet’s office gave her the number of a local nature reserve.

Their full scientific name is Puma Yagouaroundi. And while their name sounds large and impressive, they’re actually just slightly larger than your average housecat. 

As reported by the Texas Parks & Wildlife’s website, jaguarundis will normally weight between 8-16 pounds. But there is a happy ending for Tito. 

As Reuters informs us, Tito is doing well under the care of the nature reserve, and there are plans to someday release him back into his natural habitat.

 The pup-friendly place is called Hott Spott, located on the island of Lesbos, and it's helping to make the lives of the more than one million homeless dogs in the country (according to Greek charities) just a little better. 

 It all started this past July when, according to a waiter who works at the cafe, the business started inviting their nighttime dwellers inside around 3 a.m. — long after their final customers have left. 

 And no, it hasn't affected their business. In fact, the cafe has become even more popular thanks to their pup project. Such random acts of generosity toward animals isn't uncommon in Greece, which has a large number of stray dogs. 

Despite being without a permanent home or family, these animals are often collared and cared for by the community — an alternative to putting them into crowded shelters. Source

She suffered an injury only a few days into her life, so had to be moved away from her mother to a special incubator and required constant monitoring and care. After a month of care, she was taken back to her mother, Yuan Yuan. 

 Their caretakers made sure to slowly re-introduce the pair to one another and carefully monitored Yuan Yuan’s reaction to the cub. 

They put Yuan Zai in another room before they opened the doors to see what her mother would do. They needn’t have worried as Yuan Yuan gently carried her cub in her mouth and back to her enclosure. 

They watched in anticipation as she cradled her baby trying to stop Yuan Zai’s crying. 

 She tries a few different positions, maybe a bit nervous at first, but her mothering instincts helped her find the perfect cuddle position. Much to everyone’s delight Yuan Zai began nursing her baby and after a busy day feeding and getting to know one another again, mother and daughter are exhausted and take a nap together. So as to not overtire Yuan Yuan or her infant they kept the two separate at night so they can properly rest.

Since the video was shot, Yuan Zai has gone on to grow into a healthy young panda.
