Nevertheless, this mother bear has chosen an emotional way to thank the family that was so kind with her! It wasn’t anything unusual for Patrick Conley to notice a black bear in the bush from the back of his yard. After all, as a resident of Asheville in North Carolina, he’s used with bear sights more than anyone. So when a female bear begun to regularly visit his property, Conley was nothing but happy.

 He’s great fond of wildlife since he can remember. Therefore, when the furry guest interrupted her visits , the man got a bit worried. But only to get surprised in the loveliest way! One day, Conley spotted his bear friend once again in the backyard, but this time she wasn’t alone. And Conley had never been happier upon seeing a wild creature. 

While Simone – how he named the bear – was confidently stepping out of the bush, a few feet away from her some extremely cute little things were following her. It were her newborn babies! Apparently, the momma bear decided to introduce her cubs to the people who was so kind to her. An emotional moment for a man that loves animals so much as Conley is. 

As always, he showed nothing but respect to the new family, so petting the little one went out of question. But Conley was more than happy he witnessed such a sight, and he also managed to caught the moment on camera! 

  “The cubs are the cutest things to ever have walked these woods, but then I’m kind of biased,” he said. Although it was a short visit, it was a very intense one though. At least for Conley. The mother bear and her cubs even climbed the steps from Conley’s back porch to let him now they’re here. 

The calm manner they act all the way shows just how comfortable they felt around these kind and respecting people.

 And when one man wanted to share his love of the water with his Golden Retrievers, he went the extra mile and used a little ingenuity to accommodate his loyal pets. For David Bahnson, a retired orthopedic surgeon from Vermont, the two best things in life were traveling around with his dogs and kayaking.

 And in 2015, he found an ingenious way to combine the two: he built a custom kayak, designed specifically to hold dogs. David modified a kayak’s baggage opening into a perfect “dog-shaped hole,” lacking enough leg room for another human but perfect for his dog, Susie. He also added a removable ring to keep water from splashing in. 

  “Our dogs have always loved to travel with us in cars, in my airplane, in boats,” he told Huffington Post UK. “Building a way for them to kayak with us just seemed like a logical choice, and the boats are fun to build anyway.” When he got a second dog, Ginger, he made even more room, adding a second doggie hole to the vessel. “It’s like a triple kayak,” he told The Dodo. 

 With a dog-friendly kayak, David was able to pursue his favorite hobby with his loyal dogs still by his side, and the lucky dogs got a rare chance to experience a kayak ride, which they loved. “They seem to love it,” he said. 

Sadly, Susie and Ginger have since passed away, but it’s clear they got to enjoy some very special quality time with their loving owner, and that’s what really matters. 

 And the special doggie kayak has since been passed on to a new generation: “My wife and her friends still use the kayaks and she takes our newest golden, Piper, along with her,” he told HuffPost UK. 

  “I love my dogs. I love training them, the companionship. We’ve gone miles and miles of paddling with our dogs,” he told The Dodo. “They just really enjoy going places.”

The large pod which numbered at least 300 individuals was accidentally spotted by an expedition boat and the footage left everyone baffled. Naturally, such a large number of orcas raises a few questions given that these top predators usually stay in small groups. The massive pod was initially spotted by a wildlife guide. At first sight everyone thought they may be part of the same family, but when they noticed their numbers were getting larger and larger, they put the idea behind. 

 Orcas also gather in large numbers when the mating season starts. Nevertheless, these agile marine creatures are very secretive regarding their breeding habits, such a huge gathering has never been seen before. Eventually, the large number of marine birds that were fleeing over spilled the beans about these orcas unusual behavior. They also soon figured out that a fishing fleet was nearby. So these hungry orcas have all swim that way for one single purpose – to feed. 

These waters are very reach in herring, which is orcas favorite meal. So when fishing season begins, large groups of orcas gather here. However, this was the first time such a huge pod was captured on camera!

 Like one smart cat, who has been credited with saving the life of his 83-year-old owner after she fell into a ravine. On August 14, the Bodmin Police, in England, began a search for an elderly woman who had gone missing in the area. But it didn’t take long until they had a breakthrough, thanks to an unlikely source. 

 A local woman reportedly heard a cat incessantly meowing at the corner of a large maize field. Soon, the neighbor realized that the cat, named Piran, belonged to the missing woman — and was trying to alert her of her whereabouts.

  It turns out the 83-year-old had fallen deep into an embankment in the field near her home. 

  “The elderly female had fallen approximately 70ft down a very steep embankment, with incredibly difficult access and uneven terrain,” Bodmin Police wrote.

  With the missing woman finally located, Bodmin Police and Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service quickly came to the rescue to get her out of the ravine. After she was lifted out, Cornwall Air Ambulance flew her to the hospital. 

She was reportedly in stable condition, and according to an update is “in good spirits” while she continues to receive care. 

  “It’s a massive ‘well done’ to all the emergency services who worked together and to Piran,” the anonymous neighbor told BBC. “The outcome could have been a lot worse.”

While emergency responders actually did the rescuing, Piran deserves a lot of credit for saving his owner’s life. 

Considering the woman’s age, and how out-of-sight she was from the rescuers, it’s easy to imagine how things could’ve gone much differently if the cat wasn’t so alert. The cat has been hailed as a hero: “Piran the cat saved the day!” Bodin Police wrote on Facebook. 

 Great job, Piran! You definitely saved the day by looking out for your owner. What a smart cat!
