Like one man, who saved a dog who ended up in his truck. Thanks to his keen eye, the dog narrowly avoided a terrible fate. 

 According to the Capital Area Humane Society, in Michigan, an employee from Granger Waste Services was on his route in the early morning of July 19, when he realized he had someone unexpected in his truck. It isn’t clear how exactly she ended up in the garbage collection, but the route was for commercial-grade dumpsters, which means the dog had quite an ordeal before being found. 

“It is almost unbelievable that she endured being transferred from a dumpster, into a garbage truck, and then, endured the journey and the unloading process,” Capital Area Humane Society wrote on Facebook. 

The dog went through a lot, but would’ve had it a lot worse if the employee hadn’t spotted her, like ending up in the trash compactor: “Without his keen eye, she would have certainly suffered a horrific fate,” the Humane Society wrote.

  Thankfully, the dog is now in stable condition, and Ingham County Animal Control is investigating the case. The Capital Area Humane Society says that because there is still an open cruelty investigation, the dog will not be put up for adoption yet, and will remain in protective custody. 

 But while the investigation is underway and many questions remain unanswered, everyone agrees that the driver who saved this dog is a true hero — and the humane society says they’ve gotten plenty of surprising requests about him, too. 

  “For those of you who have shown interest in the Granger employee, he is not available for adoption either,” they joked.

Fortunately, for this little one the miracle turned to be two wildlife photographers. Scottish wildlife photographers Peter Lewis and Mark Strachan were getting some snaps on the northern coast of Scotland, last summer. 

While taking some photos of the dramatic landscapes from distance, they spotted a three fox cubs litter. But, sadly, soon after the photographers spotted the cub’s mom was lifeless, not far away. They knew they had to do something. 

However they also knew helping too much the little one would made the to lose their natural skills. At first they just kept an eye on the three orphaned cubs. As the days passed the two of the cubs left the litter to find food on their own. 

Yet, the third one was still there hungry and its fate seemed to be failed. It’s when Peter and Mark stepped in. Since then, they started to take care of the orphaned fox by giving her food. They even tried to help her how to hunt. 

“Running through the field with a bit of chicken on a string as she chased after the bait was, well, just out of this world,” Peter said. They called her Black Paws. “We turned up and used our way of letting her know we were there, and she was out like a dog that had been waiting for its master all day,” Lewis said. 

“We became her foster parents. There was one month I had to rely on Mark to feed her as holidays in the highlands stopped me from getting out seeing her.” One year later, Black Paws’ “foster parents” came back to visit her. And they were so impressed by the way she has grown. 

But more than that, it was a lovely reunion as the fox didn’t forget the kind-hearted men saved her life! “When I saw her again I was not let down as the cub that once looked so vulnerable was blossoming into a very beautiful vixen and she hadn’t forgotten me,” Peter said. 

“She was bolder than ever coming right up and sat yards from me. This is a wild fox and it amazes me as to how much this she let us into her life, maybe she was relying on us to help her into adulthood.” According to Peter and Mark, their parental duties doesn’t stop here. They said they’re planning more trips to the place, to keep an eye on their unusual, yet so adorable adoptive baby. Source

 Halil noticed the feline in despair and quickly rushed to help him, gently removing him from the glass doors and then doing CPR since the feline’s vital signs were dropping. 

“He was struggling and having trouble breathing. I put my hand on the back of his head and properly removed him from the door. We immediately began CPR.” 

 After the heroic gesture and making sure the kitten was alright, Halil decided to adopt him and name him after the action that saved his life – a miracle! Source

And it looks like huskies tend to find their best companions in other species When Koda got lost in December, last year, his owner desperately tried to find her, but his attempts were all in vain. 

But when Rachel Howatt, the dog’s owner, lost any hope, the tricksy husky found its way back home, just like nothing ever happened. 

“We definitely searched for her, but in the end she just came back,” Howatt told The Dodo. “She is really smart, so I didn’t doubt she could find her way home.” Wondering where she could have been, Howatt decide to check on her neighbor trail camera. 

Just to make sure her Konda wasn’t spotted in the woods near their home in Manitoba, in Ontario, Canada. And the footages revealed something worthily of a Disney story. While missing, Koda was actually spending time with her newest friend, a wild deer. They were even eating and napping together. 

“It was quite something,” Howatt said. “Based on the time they spent on frame, it looked like they spent over 12 hours together. There’s also another photo where there’s two bucks in the picture with her.” Howatt said she’ll do her best to keep her beloved dog at home, but her attempts might be unsuccessful as Koda will definitely want to reunite with her friend. 

“Huskies have such a free spirit,” Howatt said. “It doesn’t surprise me at all that Koda was trying to make a new friend.” However, this isn’t the first time when a dog and a deer are making a great friendship.
