Every morning she wanders unhurriedly through the streets, taking the same route, with no one to guide her. For those unfamiliar with the animal, she carries a card that says: “My name is Jenny, I haven’t run away, I’m just taking a walk, thank you.” 

Jenny has been riding alone for 14 years, ever since her owner Werner Weischedel, 79, was unable to ride her. But every day the man opens the door for her and she goes for a walk on the routes they used to go together.

We used to pass as a white caravan through Fechenheim, 15 years ago.” This also included Anna, Werner’s wife. 

But now it’s just Jenny and the German shepherd Evita, who joins her walks sometimes.

Jenny takes her route 8 times a day before coming home at noon to eat, like clockwork. 

Maybe that’s because, according to her owner, “she has a clock in her stomach and knows exactly when there’s food in the house.” Neighbors always enjoy seeing Jenny, and despite the concerns of some passers-by, the police say there is no danger. 

Werner says that “the police know. When someone calls, they ask me if I know where Jenny is, and since I answer yes, everything is in order.” Jenny has friends and guardians everywhere, even at the tram stop. 

Some people criticize Jenny’s freedom, saying it is negligent and against her safety, but the vet says the mare seems “relaxed and satisfied” and according to the police, there has been no incident in 14 years of walking. Source

It seems as if their crazy antics are never going to end and some of the acrobatics they perform are just mind-blowing. 

Every once in a while, however, you hear about a squirrel that may not be quite so acrobatic. That is how the story starts. 

 Decan Anderson watched as a baby squirrel fell off the roof of his apartment building. It landed in the garden but it wasn’t able to get up and run away. It hit a branch on its way down and had a bad cut. That is when Decan decided he was going to take care of the little squirrel. He thought the squirrel’s mother would come and rescue him but, when she did come back, she took off and left him behind!

Perhaps she was aware of his injury and felt that she couldn’t care for him along with her other kits. Decan realized it was up to him to care for this precious little squirrel. 

After bringing the little squirrel back home, he called wildlife officials for some advice. Something strange happened while he was on the phone; his cat, 

Coco, had a maternal instinct moment. Before he knew what was happening, Coco was nuzzling and licking the baby squirrel. Maternal love is the strongest kind of love but the little squirrel needed medical help. Decan took him to the veterinarian, who was more than happy to help him get back on his feet again. 

The squirrel then went back to Decan’s home. Decan’s children were watching a movie, The Adventures of Tintin. That is how the squirrel got his name. 

It wasn’t long before he fit into the family quite nicely and there was no way he could be let back in the wild again. A few years have passed since Tintin came into the family. Since that time, he has earned his spot with the Andersons. 

When he is at home, he eats a lot of fruits and nuts but he also goes out on a leash. Sometimes he gets one of the 3 AM cravings. He doesn’t bother getting anyone up, he just raids the fridge on his own. Decan said that he became like a third child. He began to document the adventures of Tintin and post them on social media. 

It is amazing how adorable this little squirrel can be! Tintin is great at helping while you study. He has a lot of fun with Decan’s human son. If you aren’t careful, living the life of Riley could add a little extra weight. Fortunately, Tintin gets in some amazing workouts. 

Tintin doesn’t have any fear of the other animals in the Anderson family. He will curl up with the cats or he may just hop on their back and give them a foot massage. “With so much negativity in the world, I thought it could help lift people up … He makes people forget about their troubles for a moment so they can laugh and smile. 

He’s certainly brought light and enjoyment to me and my family. We have a special bond and are pretty much together, 24/7.” Over 100,000 people follow Tintin on Instagram. His uncontrollable reaction of joy was caught on camera and it is nothing short of heartwarming! But nothing of these would not have been possible if it wasn’t the nice people from Animals Asia, a charity group in Hong Kong, specialized in saving animals in need. 

Thanks to them, so many wild creatures were saved from the saddest life. It is what happened with Tuffy, a moon bear. 

For too many years, the gentle bear was caged and used for medical purposes at a bile farm. After over 9 years and huge efforts from animal rights activist, Tuffy finally got the chance to live his life peacefully. 

Rescued from the miserable place where he has been forced to live, the bear was taken to one of Animals Asia’s sanctuaries. 

But the tough life he has been through left too many physically and emotionally wounds onto the poor bear. Nonetheless, neither his poor vision, nor his jaw multiple woulds didn’t stop Tuffy to fully enjoy his moment of freedom. 

Taken to a lovely sanctuary in Vietnam, the rescued bear is about to experience swimming for the very first time in his life. But not before undergoing surgery and fully recovery! “Coming from years of little or no water, for Tuffy this must feel like a true oasis after being parched and in pain for so long,” Louise Ellis from Animals Asia wrote on the charity’s website.

Unfortunately, Guero the lion had a very though past. The massive wild cat spent his entire life in a private zoo in Mexico. He was forced to live his days in tiny cages all alone. An incredibly difficult life that affected him both mentally and physically. 

Thankfully a local animal welfare organization found him just in time. Shortly after rescued him, these volunteers asked for help at the Wild Animal Sanctuary in Colorado. The big-hearted people there were more than happy to help, so Guero was brought to the United States where he got the medical care he needed.
