Jaguars are strong swimmers and climbers and require large areas of tropical rain forest and stretches of riverbank to survive. A model for conservation, the Amazon Region Protected Areas ensures 150 million acres—three times the size of all US parks combined—of the Amazon are protected in perpetuity. 

A group led by the World Wildlife Fund spotted just that in the 150 million-acre Amazon Region Protected Areas. Black jaguars are cats with a dominant gene for melanism, meaning that their dark coats nearly blot out the distinctive yellow and black rosette patterns that most jaguars have. 

As the video shows, these apex predators are powerful swimmers, thanks to their stocky, muscular limbs. Listed as near threatened by the International Union for the Conservation of Nature, jaguars suffer from habitat loss and fragmentation, as well as hunting for their prized coats.

However, there are many circuses who show a totally disrespect about this law and continue to keep wild animals in cages. This is exactly what happened to this mountain lion. Mufasa was forced to spent 20 years chained up. Fortunately, Animal Defenders International mission was to save all captive animals from the Peruvian circuses. 

And thankfully, so they did. Thanks to their firm determination, Mufasa was the last wild animal to be rescued. However, because he was chained his entirely life, Mufasa was in no shape to be returned to the wild. 

So he was moved in a sanctuary into the Peruvian forest, where an enclosure was built for him. 

Here, the adorable creature is finally able to enjoy its freedom!

The group of vets and wildlife officers sprung into action when the rhino's heartbeat started plunging. Dramatic video footage of the resuscitation was captured showing the power required to get the rhino's heart beating again. 

As four men perform chest compressions on the animal, someone can be heard shouting, 'oxygen, we need oxygen'. Care for Wild Rhino Sanctuary co-founder, Chris de Bruno Austin, then lies on the floor next to Meha and breaths into her nose. 

After several desperate minutes, the rhino finally started to breath again on her own. Meha made a full recovery after the scare, according to the sanctuary.

The footage was captured by a staff member at the Elephant Nature Park, which is based in the Mae Taeng District of the Chiang Mai Province, and initially shows the mammal on her feet. These elephants have been through a lot of hardship in their lives, but the fact that they can open their hearts to a kind caretaker truly shows their loving character. 

According to the sanctuary, the woman named Lek has somewhat of a positive rapport with the elephant called Faamai and has been helping her get to sleep for years. 

In the video, Lek begins singing softly while approaching the animal - which reacts by pulling her in for a hug with her long trunk. 

The woman continues to sing while walking around the mammal before using a piece of cloth to bat insects away from her eyes. Feeling sleepy, the elephant slowly drops to her knees before collapsing on the ground.
