Photographer Takes Portraits Of “Perfectly Imperfect” Animals To Help Them Find New Homes

Alex Cearns is a well-known photographer of animals. While there are many who are already familiar with her works, this recent series is truly a sight to behold.

Perfectly Imperfect: Dog Portraits of Resilience is a photography masterpiece.

Alex has taken the time to capture disabled dogs and cats in their true essence, shedding light on their conditions. Aryah is deaf in one ear, with a deformed face and missing eye to match. She has not allowed her circumstances to change her gentle nature.

Poor Vegemite was attacked by a dog and lost his eye in the process. He is still as sweet as can be.

Mya’s blind after losing both of her eyes to glaucoma but the rest of her senses remain keen.

Jakk was tossed in a Dumpster because of his deformed legs. Luckily, his sad cries were heard before it was too late.

Bali Pip is bald from mange. She’s still living life to the fullest, though.

Beau’s deaf because skin cancer has robbed him of his ears. He still enjoys a happy existence.

Jaffa is missing a leg and was forced to wait 8 years before finding a forever home. She’s finally living with a loving family.

Oompah was infected with mange and homeless. She’s since been adopted by a loving family.

Scrappy was forced to have his eyes removed after experiencing a series of issues.

Keisha has been adopted by a loving family and the paralyzed dog’s lust for life has not been dulled one bit.

Rupert might be missing a leg but he does not let that stop him from enjoying life.

Draco is a lovely Bully who is prone to fainting because of his heart condition.

Skye was in an accident as a puppy that robbed her of her eye. She hasn’t let it slow her down at all.

Being born without eyes is not easy. This cat is able to see with her heart.

Peg’s got a special leg. However, that does not keep her from living it up.

Neo is a testament to the power of positive thought. This cross eyed pup remains an absolute delight.

Romeo lost his eye in a fight with another dog and is able to smile his way through it all.

Crash was left to fend for himself as a kitten. Fortunately, a helpful passerby decided to adopt him and change his life forever.

A Spotted Horse, Pony, And Dog Are Best Friends

Meet the spotted dream team: Nevada, Napoleon and Jack Sparrow.

Human & Horse Academy The Appaloosa stallion, Shetland pony and Dalmatian live with their owner Greetje Arends-Hakvoort in Kootwijkerbroek, The Netherlands.

Greetje is a horse trainer and the founder of Human & Horse Academy.

The program offers "a unique, all-inn concept, creating a training experience and giving everyone a possibility to educate their horse with love and joy."

But it's her spotted pets Nevada the horse, Napoleon the pony, and Jack Sparrow the dog that have captured the hearts of many on social media.

Despite their size and differences, Greetje says the animals are best friends and love being together.

"When Jack was younger, he saw himself as one of the horses and he fits in perfectly," Greetje told Metro.

Greetje says her daughter Jolie was born around the same time as Napoleon so they are best friends.

Greetje rides Nevada while Jolie rides Napoleon -- and Jack is just happy to be there.

According to Greetje, the spotted family is growing. She recently added three more spotted horses to the mix.

"Ok then... Now with the whole dotted family including Jack and Jolie with her favorite dotted coat. Left to Right: Braveheart, Jack Sparrow, Shakespeare, Gandhi, Jolie and Napoleon, Nevada," she wrote on Facebook.

Greetje says she is happy her spotted family is bringing others joy.

"Our spotted friends are spreading love, friendship and fun all over the UK and the rest of the world," she said.

Two Newly Rescued Chimps Meet And Refuse To Let Go Of Each Other’s Hands

Chimpanzees Terry and Jeannie have only recently met, but they immediately forged a strong friendship.

Jeannie was rescued from a medical laboratory and Terry from a small zoo, where he was all alone for 18 years.

In the video shared by Save the Chimps, the two reach out to one another and refuse to let go of each other’s hands. “Terry recently met Jeannie and they didn’t want to let go of each other’s hand,” writes Save The Chimps.

The two chimps are now with Save The Chimps, a charity which provides sanctuary for chimps rescued from research labs, the entertainment industry and the pet trade.

Save the Chimps does wonderful rescue work, saving many chimps who have endured harsh circumstances, such as Iris, a 32-year-old chimp who was saved from a tiny, barren roadside zoo in Georgia. Both Jeannie and Terry are new arrivals and can look forward to a well-deserved, enriched life after decades of captivity.

Every Day At The Same Exact Time, This Stray Cat Meets The Train's Conductor For A Treat

Meet Felix, a friendly stray cat in Staraya, Russia.

In this photo, the conductor of the Pskov-Moscow train can be seen feeding Felix during a short stop in Staraya. According to the conductor,

Felix has been coming every day to the tail of the train at 22:40 for several years. All of the conductors know Felix and prepare his sausage in advance.

Someone even wrote a poem about it:

The Pspspskov-Moscow Train The engine's coming down the track,

Some hear it go choo-choo, But this one's bringing me my snack,

It's what it's trained to do. So as it slows, I hear the hiss, And I know that's my chance, The human has for me "pssspss!", The sausage in advance.

I wait each day, same time and place, The sausage such a treat! And when the human sees my face, They know I'm there to eat. The train don't even need to stop,

The magic still occurring, And when I get my sausage drop, Our motors both are purring.
