Found this upbringing little video while surfing the net. It is created by Robert, who works as a pet trainer and owns Didga, the first true cat-dog, who loves skateboarding and hanging out under palm trees! We’ve all had to go through some type of growing pains back when we were young, but a few of us had it worse than others, a lot worse. For a one year old Anatolian Shepherd named Kolina, her growing pains were literally just that. She was born with a spinal condition common in larger breed dogs that’s known as wobbler syndrome, which makes it difficult and painful for her to move.

Dog’s who suffer from the disease have compressed spinal cords and sometimes the nerve roots are also compacted tightly together as well.This is what causes them to experience neurological issues and leads to stiff, painful neck aches.

It also causes dogs to walk in a shaky, wobbly manner, while some of them are unable to walk at all. For Kolima, standing is a lot of work and quite painful, so she prefers to lay on her side and crouch low most of the time. Her health problems and difficulties with walking, sitting and standing, and just moving around in general, caused her further issues in terms of her social life.

While most other puppies her age were romping around, chasing each other, and play fighting, Kolima had to sit out. Her wobbliness kept her from doing normal dog things and that made making new friends hard for her. However, life is not as sad and depressing as it may sound for her all thanks to Paolo, Kolima’s best friend in the whole entire world!

As you can see here, Paolo is a donkey and he loves his Anatolian Shepherd friend to pieces! According to the pairs owner, Felice Caputo, Paolo has always been the typical donkey, which is to say he’s “mischievous and stubborn.” When the six year old donkey first met Kolina he barely glanced her way, but then when he saw that she was disabled, something in him changed.

Rather than ignore or write her off, he greets her warmly and plays with her every single day now. The cute couple absolutely adore each other and when you see them play together, you’ll understand the uniquely special bond they share. It’s simply heartwarming and awesome to see, and it’s a true testament to the power of friendship.

Richard Meston was at Bicton Park Botanical Gardens near Sidmouth, Devon in England, when he came across a mother swan and her babies. 

A man went to extreme lengths after his dying wife asked to see her dog one last time. He recently shared his story on popular site Reddit about how he was able to do it…

“My wife was in the hospital after a very invasive surgery, which after a few days, looked like it did not produce ideal results. The prognosis was not good. She was able to speak, but was not eating or drinking, and relied completely on her IV and hard pain pills. In one rare instance of cogent speech, she convinced me to sneak our dog into her private room, so she could see her ‘one more time.’

“Our dog is about a 50 pound Australian Shepherd, and as it turns out, she fits nicely in a normal suitcase. I packed her in, with the lid unzipped, and placed her in the car until we arrived at the hospital. When we arrived, I ‘explained’ to her that I would open the zipper in a few minutes and that she could see her Mommy.

“Unbelievably, she never whimpered, barked, or whined. When I walked past the station nurses, I told them I was simply bringing items to make my wife more comfortable. No problem, they said.

“When we entered the room, my wife was asleep. I unzipped the suitcase, and the dog immediately jumped on the bed, and gingerly laid across her chest, somehow avoiding the wires and IV. She positioned herself to where she could look directly into my wife’s eyes, and laid completely still, until about twenty minutes later, when my wife woke up, and started moaning in pain.

“The dog immediately started licking her, and quietly moaned, as if knowing that barking would definitely blow our cover. My wife hugged her for almost an hour, smiling the whole time. We were busted by one nurse who was so touched that she promised not to tell. When my wife finally went back to sleep, I loaded the dog back in the suitcase, and she somewhat sheepishly obliged.

“My wife sadly passed a few days later, and as if that is not sad enough, now, whenever I grab the suitcase, the dog thinks we are doing to see her again.”
