Kickstarting the generosity for the season of giving, there is an Ikea store located in Catania, Italy, giving shelter to stray dogs during the cold winter season. Customers just couldn’t resist applauding the store’s hospitality, and their effort went viral quickly. This event have brought good Christmas cheer to store customers, who were amazed by what they were witnessing while shopping their way through sets of furniture with dogs getting cozy among them.
The store totally went far beyond customer expectations: “The dogs receive daily food and pampering from IKEA’s employees and customers. Some dogs have even found a family, going home with customers.” This isn’t the first time IKEA showed their support to dogs, as they also partnered up once with Home For Hope’s campaign, encouraging pet adoption by displaying cardboard cutouts of shelter dogs in their stores.
This feels like a warm hug for all equally-concerned dog lovers around the world, a reassurance that many people and businesses are taking steps to give love to stray dogs across the world. During the hot summer days, there is nothing more refreshing than some pool time. And here’s one guy who is clearly very excited about summer and pool time. This grizzly bear named Bruiser lives in Single Vision, a nature conservation center in Florida, USA, which cares and preserves endangered species.
While the video is a little bit oldie, it never fails to make me smile. It was a hot summer day when Bruiser decided, well, to go for a swim. Or more specifically — a belly flop.
Thankfully for us, an animal welfare worker decided to grab their camera and film the whole scene — including the bear’s epic smile at the end.
The video was eventually uploaded to the internet and of course, didn’t take too long to go viral. Anyway, we think words aren’t enough to explain just how charming this bear is.

Whole litter of 5 Maine Coon kittens were born with 'grumpy' faces – but everyone thinks they're adorable
Maine coons have increased in their popularity over the last couple years. They are the biggest domestic cat breed, with males that can way up to 18 pounds. This absolutely stunning breed comes in 75 different color combinations and some grow up to 40 inches long. They have a very majestic flair to them and remind somewhat of mythological ancient beings, in modern times.Maine Coons tend to be highly social and like human interaction. They’re known for being friendly, loyal, and playful, and they typically get along well with children and other pets. They can even play fetch and be walked on a leash!
What makes them extra special is that it’s being suggested that the Maine coons were brought to America by the Vikings. Since they so many similarities to the Norwegian Forest cat. But that remains a theory, this has not been proven to be a fact.
So when you look a Maine coons face, something interesting becomes quite obvious. They often resemble human faces. And these distinctive faces are sometimes combined with human facial expressions.

The kittens all look quite similar too, it’s hard to tell them apart. Nevertheless, all of them are just as adorable!

Any large celebration that involves fireworks is fun, but while we enjoy the sounds and sights of colourful explosions overhead, our animals feel very differently.
The explosions caused by fireworks have been known to give some domestic pets heart problems, nausea, tremors, debilitating fears and light-headedness. We all know that animals have far more sensitive hearing so you won't be surprised to read that firework displays can leave pets with “acoustic stress”.
During firework displays animals are often confused as to where the loud noises are coming from which makes them run frantically away. Unfortunately, this sometimes results in them being hit by a car. Other animals may be too close to the explosion and receive burns or eye damage as a result. If you keep chickens, you might find that they produce fewer eggs after a firework display.
People of the town of Collecchio in the province of Parma in Italy are doing something about it. The local government has introduced new legislation forcing citizens to use silent fireworks as a way of respecting the animals and reducing the stress caused them.
The company, Setti Fireworks make fireworks which produce a spectacular light show but without the deafening sounds normally associated with a firework display. They design their fireworks to fit the venue and event that they will be used for.
