The man was on his fishing boat on the Lake Travis in Austin, Texas, when spotted a tiny creature struggling to swim to shore. 

When he got closer, he realized it’s a distressed baby deer. Justin knew the poor little thing wouldn’t made it to shore, so he immediately jumped into action, determined to reunite the lost fawn with its family. 

 In a now viral video, shared by The Dodo, the good Samaritans caught on camera the dramatic rescue. Apparently, a dog scared the tiny deer, it got stressed and jumped into the lake in a desperate attempt to cross over the other side. 

Fortunately, Justin witnessed the whole scene and he immediately jumped into action and rescued the baby deer. A few moments after, the kind man reached the deer, grabbed it and took it on his boat. The little one is visible scared and extremely tired, so Justin lays it down on the boat to get rest a little bit. 

“Poor thing is exhausted,” the man can be heard saying. “She wasn’t gonna make it for much longer.” But thankfully, the adorable creature is now safe and on its way to reunite its mom. 

” I got you baby girl, don’t worry,” Justin said. Once they reached the shore, the deer seemed to come into her strength, but her rescuer knew she need more time to recover. 

So he took the helpless creature back to his home, where he cared for her. After a few hours of resting, the man, even concerned knew he had to take the deer right into the same spot he run off for its life.

 Justin was sure the little one’s mom would came exactly in the same spot she got lost, to search for her. The nice guy, then released the rescue fawn into the forest and he impatiently waited to see if she would reunite with her mom. 

And thankfully, shortly after the sunset, he was able to spot them together, again. All thanks to his efforts. What a reward for his work! Watch the viral rescue here:

These herds still roam the west today although there is much controversy surrounding them as cattle ranchers continue to move their cattle stock onto lands that the wild horses now occupy. The video below shows an incredible example of how the wild horses look after their own when a young filly gets in trouble while crossing a river. 

The stallion with her takes quick action to try to save her before she is swept downriver. He is unflinching in his attempts and even tries not to hurt her as he struggles to get her back toward the shore. America's Endangered wild horses In the states of Nevada, Wyoming and Colorado, several times a year, the Bureau of Land Management conducts a wild horse and burro roundup. 

Using helicopters and flying low enough to nearly touch the backs of their prey, they herd thousands of these horses and burros into chutes that were previously set up, funneling the mares, stallions, and foals into a holding pen. Herds and family groups are broken up, many animals are injured, some even die during this desperate run. 

The remainder are then kept in the blazing hot sun, fed and watered whenever the keepers get to it, and are basically in a concentration camp for animals. These are the magnificent animals who symbolize the West. 

These are the animals the Bureau of Land Management likes to "manage," a euphemism for "getting rid of." Why does the BLM do this? It's very simple...the public lands are wanted by the ranchers for their cattle, they certainly don't want to share any forage or water with wild horses and burros that earn them nothing. Cattle ranchers have lots of clout in Nevada and that strength puts their needs over everything else, including these wild animals. A cattle rancher will never admit to having enough land for his herd, always wanting more. The BLM is more than willing to work hand-in-glove with the ranchers, and they could care less about the horses and burros. They've become just a nuisance! (source ~ excerpt written by Nancy Carol)

 Ray Lucas, 23, says he and his girlfriend had walked to the gas station and when they returned 15 minutes later, their home was on fire. "The house was engulfed in smoke, I saw my mom and my niece were standing at the door and they were frantic," Lucas said. 

 His 18-month old daughters, Milan and Malaysia, were asleep in the basement. "I just knew I had to get my babies out," he said. "That's what went through my mind." Lucas had to navigate his home based on sheer memory. "You really couldn't see your hand in front of your face," he said. "I really only found my babies due to my memory, just knowing where they were and knowing how to get to them." 

 Both girls were taken to an intensive care unit. Malaysia was treated for severe burns. Milan suffered smoke inhalation and second-degree burns. Lucas treated for smoke inhalation and second-degree burns. 

  "I was temporarily blind for three days and they said it was a miracle I could see," he said. "I've got burns on my arms, but for the most part, everyone is still here." 

 The family lost everything in the fire. A GoFundMe page has been set up to help them recover.

 Their urban forest project will involve planting nearly a half million trees on a 46-mile perimeter (75-km) around the city. When the trees have reached maturity, they should absorb around 175,000 tons of CO2 per year. Black pine, beech, Spanish juniper and various oak species can all be found in the arid middle of Spain wherein lies the Spanish capital, and it is these native trees which require little water or specialized soil conditions that will constitute the new forest. 

  “What we want to do is to improve the air quality in the whole city, to fight the ‘heat island’ effect that is happening inside the city, to absorb the greenhouse emissions generated by the city, and to connect all the existing forest masses that already exist around the city,” Mariano Fuentes told Euronews. 

 As Madrid’s councilor for the environment and urban development, Fuentes explained that for cities that belch three-quarters of all human-caused CO2, which tend to absorb much more heat and poor air than surrounding countryside, methods for combating climate change and general environmental degradation need to be varied. 

  “It has to be a global strategy,” added Fuentes. “It’s not only about cars, but also a pedestrianization strategy, the creation of environmental corridors in every district… and most of all… to engage citizens in this new green culture, it is essential for every city to face the near future in the best conditions.”

Experts assured reporters that “it’s not a park,” but certainly for nature-loving Madrileños, it will be a place of respite, shade, and bird habitat that will work night and day to absorb excess heat and clean the air of the European mega-city.
