Despite the obvious discomfort and the inability to eat or drink, the vulpine youngster remained wary of human interference and avoided contact. 

With some patience and the use of humane tools, the woman was able to remove the jar and reunite the little fox with mom.

A peanut butter jar almost killed this baby fox. I spent 3 days trying to capture him since he couldn’t get the jar off himself. 

I had about 20 failed attempts and it was breaking my heart to see him suffering. Without food and water for 3 full days, I was worried he wouldn’t last much longer. 

Luckily, I was able to borrow a net on the 3rd day and finally catch him. This adorable litter of foxes lives underneath Adleman’s deck.

We’ve seen many stories of couples including their beloved pets in their big day, even making them the “best man.” But one story will truly tug at your heartstrings: a dog dying from cancer hung on just long enough to see his owners down the aisle. 

Kelly O’Connell, a veterinarian, was just 19 when she laid eyes on Charlie, a black Lab mix. The dog had been found abandoned in a shopping cart in the middle of winter. While Kelly wasn’t planning on adopting a dog at the time, she knew it was love at first sight. 

“I don’t know what it was. I was just like, ‘Yeah, this is my dog. I’m taking him home,'” she told the Denver Channel. Kelly and Charlie soon became best friends, and he changed her life. The very active, playful dog inspired the owner to take up running. 

Her dog was so important that when she met her future husband James Garvin, also a veterinarian, one of her biggest concerns was if he and his kids would get along with Charlie — thankfully, they hit it off.

“Charlie doesn’t like everyone. But he immediately loved them,” Kelly said. “He grew to love him just as much as I did,” she told CNN. “Charlie was a symbol of the coming together of the family.” But after 15 years together, Charlie started slowing down. 

He wasn’t his usual active self, and after he suffered a seizure, he was diagnosed with a brain tumor. At the same time, the couple was preparing for their wedding day. “It broke my heart, he had five seizures the week before the wedding,” Kelly told People. “We considered putting him down, but he seemed to get better, so we waited.” 

It was as if Charlie was holding on just long enough to see his owners get married — so when their big day arrived, Charlie was there. 

Despite being weak from cancer and near death, Charlie found the strength to walk Kelly and James down the aisle for their vows. Sadly, he was too weak to walk back, but Kelly’s sister helped him out. 

“My sister, being my sister, scooped him up — all 80 pounds of him — and carried him back down the aisle,” Kelly told the Denver Channel. It was an emotional moment for everyone, and even on her big day Kelly could only think about how proud she was of her beloved dog. 

“We literally ignored everybody. We just dropped to our knees and we just kept saying, ‘You did it, buddy. You made it. You’re here. You’re here.’ Everybody was crying.” It turned out to be one of their last memories together: Charlie died just nine days after the ceremony. 

But while she was heartbroken to lose her best friend, Kelly was grateful Charlie was able to make it, and that the sweet moments were captured by their wedding photographer Jen Dziuvenis. “Those memories. That moment — I was just happy to have him, for him to be there and for the years I had with him,” she said. “And in the pictures he is smiling. You can’t deny it. He is smiling.” “I’ll miss Charlie, he was my best friend,” she told People. “But he’ll never be forgotten. And we’ll always have the wedding photos to remember him by.”

What a beautiful moment. It’s sad that Charlie passed away but we’re glad he held on long enough to be part of their big day.

20 years and 280 days of the year spent in the field, it’s no surprise he has seen his fair share of amazing moments. Our favorite is this spectacular picture of an endangered crocodile captured carrying his babies through the water. The crocodile is a male gharial crocodile who are the largest of all the living crocodiles. 

An ancient species who were first depicted over 4,000 years ago have had their population dramatically declining since the 1930s. This makes the photo even more special, this father is definitely doing his part to help the population growth who is just under 1,000. 

“This male had mated with seven or eight females, and you can see that it was very much involved,” shares Mukherjee. “Normally the gharial is quite a shy crocodile compared with the saltwater and marsh crocs. But this one was very protective and if I got too close, it would charge me. It could be very aggressive.” 

It’s not unusual for crocodiles to carry their young, but they would usually use their mouths to transport their young. 

Due to the gharials odd shaped snout, this wouldn’t be possible, so they resort to other means, just as you can see.

But, why does this happen? Well, dogs are naturally pack animals who favor the company of others. Many experts believe that this pack mentality, coupled with a survival instinct, is why dogs remain so loyal to their human companions. 

They bond deeply with their caretakers, and view you as their pack. Dogs are even well known to extend this love and loyalty long after an owner has passed away, or even after they’ve been abandoned. A homeless cat took a liking to the pup and the pair instantly became inseparable. For six long months, everywhere the dog went, the cat followed shortly behind. 

They even shared the food that residents had been leaving for them as they passed by. Not only did they hang out together and play all day, but they also snuggled up together at night, comforting one another and keeping each other warm until morning. 

It was undeniable that the pair took comfort in one another. 

They know they are different, but they get along well, they comfort each other, ” said a resident of the apartment complex. However, when residents approached the door of the building, the cat would dart away, watching from a “safe distance.” 

But, the dog would stay put. He would stare at each one of their faces, almost as if he was looking for someone specific. 

Onlookers began to assume that he was searching for the faces of his previous family members. And that he was still holding out hope that they would return for him. As it grew closer to winter, residents became concerned for their safety. One person even built them a make-shift shelter, hoping it would shield them from the wind and cold. 

A rescue team was eventually called to the scene, and they were able to catch the pair and get them assessed by a veterinarian. Both of them were said to be in good health, and were then put up for adoption. 

The residents of the complex took comfort in knowing that the pair would be somewhere warm and loved by a new forever family.

  It is believed to be caused by albinism which makes the animals turn white but not this time. Though these species are not uncommon, they don’t survive in the wild that long because of their coloring. 

They are like bananas, sun, egg yolks, and daffodils. So they can blend with nothing in nature and are always at the center of attention.

We’ve heard many stories of dogs suffering in the freezing cold, and the kind places that opened their doors to keep them warm. But dogs are susceptible to the extreme heat, too — and one one hot day, one store knew it was the right thing to let a dog inside to cool down. 

It was a scorching 104°F day in Mexico, and a local stray dog paid a visit to a local market, where he had been showing up for the past few days.

 

“He has been here the past [few] days,” the store’s clerk said, according to The Dodo. “We suspect he was left behind by his owner. He came to us for help.” 

“We could only provide him with food, water and some toys from the store that we paid with our money.” 

But on this hot day, they decided to go even further: They let the dog inside to cool off!

  The dog certainly seemed to enjoy this respite from the extreme heat: he was so comfortable that he just laid down right on the aisle floor for a nap. 

“We let him inside because the temperature outside is really hell-like,” the clerk said. “We feel bad for him, but he looks happier around the store.” 

And the clerks’ kindness was contagious: a customer named Adolfo Pazzi Ahumada, who was at the market for some milk, decided to buy the dog a treat. 

“I felt bad for what the dog has passed through,” Adolfo told The Dodo. “But he is now receiving the love he deserves.” 

Thank you to this store for opening their doors to this dog! We know this small act of kindness meant the world to this stray.

The birds stayed close to each other as they preened, 'kissed' and flew together in woodland in Lea Marston, Warwickshire. The barn owls, who found a spot in the trees where they began showing their affections to each other, are not a mating pair but sisters. 

The moment was captured by Leslie Arnott:

'They are quite hard conditions in the dark woodland and the pair flew for a while before sharing their special moment.' said Leslie. 'They started rubbing heads and getting quite affectionate. Then came the moment they appeared to kiss each other. 'They 'kissed' twice. 'They certainly looked like they tried to kiss but I guess we will never know for sure. 

'These owls are very affectionate towards each other and work well together however they are not a breeding pair they are actually sisters. 'They continued their tender behaviour towards one another for around three minutes but the kissing happened twice within that period. 

'It was luck as much as skill to catch the split second moment and I'm very glad I did.' said photographer.

It is also no secret that they are very friendly and they need best friends too. This cute little kangaroo is no exception and seems to have found its best friend. Tim Beshara, one of the advisers of Green Senator, posted a photo on his Twitter page a few days ago, which immediately spread all over the Internet. 

There is an orphaned little kangaroo hugging his beloved bear. His name is “Doodlebugg. The baby is cared for by Gillian Abbott, who is Tim’s mother. 

They are located in the North Rivers region of New South Wales. The baby was a few months old when he was rescued by volunteers. After finding the baby, they assume that he probably fell from his mother’s pouch or that his mother died and he was left alone. 

He now feels very well and jumps into the woods but always returns to hug his loved ones. Share this with your family and friends.

Chris Evans is best known for playing superhero Captain America in a hit series of Marvel blockbusters. But he became a real-life superhero for a boxer mix named Dodger, who Evans adopted in 2017. 

It all started while Evans was filming the movie Gifted, and he realized the kennel they were filming in wasn’t just a movie set. 

“I foolishly walked in and I thought, ‘Are these actor dogs or are these real up for adoption dogs?’” the actor told People in 2017. “And sure enough they were, so I was walking up and down the aisles and saw this one dude and he didn’t belong there. I snagged him and he’s such a good dog.”

“I had no intention of rescuing a dog that day, but the minute I saw him I knew he was coming home [with] me,” Evans wrote in an Instagram post marking National Rescue Dog Day. 

In a recent interview with BuzzFeed Celeb, Evans said that he imagined adopting a puppy, and never planned on taking home an older dog like Dodger. But after seeing Dodger, it was love at first sight.

"Dodger was a full-grown dog,” he told BuzzFeed, saying the dog was about 2 at the time. “It wasn’t the story I had in my mind but it ended up being the best decision of my life.”

The actor now says more people should consider adopting older dogs, who need homes but are often overlooked. “I just think a lot of adult dogs and older dogs get overlooked, and that’s a shame,” he said. “Let’s give them some love, too.” 

“I mean that’s probably one of the purest relationships I have,” Evans said in an interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live! in October 2020. “[Getting my tattoo of his name] didn’t take much convincing. I’ll never regret that tattoo. I’ve regretted a few in my life, not that one.”

While Dodger is an older dog than Evans planned on, he was still quite a handful, as playful as a puppy. 

“He acts like a puppy, he’s got the energy of a puppy, he’s just such a sweetheart, he’s such a good boy,” Evans told People. “He loves dogs, he loves kids, he’s full of love.”
