It’s hard to think about animals being dumped, at least if they’re left at a shelter they have some chance of being rehoused. Footage of a man dumping a dog in a dark street has gone viral. Hundreds of people have offered to give the dog, called Snoop, a home, even hip-hop star Snoop Dogg himself!


The heartbreaking video, recorded on December 17 in the U.K. city of Stoke-on-Trent, shows the man throwing the dogs’s bed onto the street and running back to the car before the dog can get back in.

You then see the abandoned dog, named Snoop by his rescuers, frantically circle the car and he even stands up on his hind legs against the window to try and catch the man’s attention.


The Staffordshire Bull Terrier was found by a passerby about an hour later, sitting alone in the bed, according to the Manchester Evening News. The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA) put out the heartbreaking video, which was shared by the media and immediately went viral.

Hip-hop artist Snoop Dogg was one of the hundreds of people, including other celebrities, who offered this pooch a new home after seeing the video.

Snoop Dogg, who is reported to support dog charities, told the Daily Star the dog’s fate was “heartbreaking.”

“There is always room for another dog in Casa de Snoop. If he really needed a home then he has one with us,” he said.

A spokeswoman for the RSPCA says Snoop was not yet ready for re homing but there was no shortage of offers as soon as he was.

It’s clear from this video how much the dog loved the person who was dumping him in the street in the dark. It’s so heartbreaking that animals have to endure such heartbreak.

In eastern Russia, an area lies beyond the Ural mountains, which introduces the vast landscape of Siberia to many. Frigid winds tear through the air, forming rapid blankets of snow that cover the taigas and foothills completely.

For many people, Siberian winters can be a death sentence, especially for one young boy who had been abandoned by his parent – in the middle of winter! He had been left by his mother on a stranger’s unheated porch all by himself.

Naturally, no one would have expected him to survive. That night, the temperatures dropped to -12 degrees Celsius, which was equivalent to 10 degrees Fahrenheit. It was a bitter night for him.


Fortunately, a resident dog of the house where the boy was left found him and instinctively wrapped his body around the child to keep him warm and protected from the bitter cold. With the dog’s body heat and his fur coat, the child was warm and managed to survive two whole days like that. Neighbours saw the dog and couldn’t understand why he didn’t move all that time until they looked under him. They found them both alive after two days in freezing snow. No one could believe their eyes.

The boy only suffered a mild case of acute hypothermia when officials finally found them. The child could have been frozen to death if it wasn’t for the dog. The child has fully recovered now and his mother was charged with child abuse for abandoning him.

In December of 2016 a kid with his mother decided to go for a walk through Sacramento's local park. As they were walking, they spotted two tiny trembling puppies abandoned on a blanket. They seemed dirty, weak and covered in abrasions.

The mother with her son took the puppies over to the Sacramento SPCA, but sadly one of the puppies passed away soon after arriving at the shelter. The other puppy, Petey, was freezing cold and struggling to survive.

But Petey kept fighting, and soon, he was on the mend!

As Petey started to recover, shelter's vet realized there was something different about him. The puppy seemed to be very uncoordinated, and he had trouble eating. After running some tests, they realized he had cerebellar hypoplasia, which was affecting Petey's fine motor skills. Because he had this disorder, pup wasn’t able to walk very quickly, and he often fell over when he stood up.

The staff at the Sacramento SPCA were determined to help Petey, and so the pup started going to physical therapy every day. Slowly but surely, the pup began getting steadier on his feet.

Soon, Petey made a major breakthrough: he was able to eat on his own!

The Sacramento SPCA shared an adorable video of Petey on their Facebook page. The video shows Petey playing with one of his toys and having a blast:


Once Petey was feeling better, he went to stay in a foster home.
His foster mom loved him, and she found a good way to keep him safe while he was playing. She put Petey in an inflatable pool—that way, if he hit his head it wouldn’t hurt. The plan worked great until Petey bit a hole in the pool!




In January 2017, the Sacramento SPCA announced that Petey was ready to be adopted. The shelter explained that Petey would need a special home with parents who were patient with him:

“This 2 month old Bully mix has cerebellar hypoplasia. What does that mean? Well, he’s not super coordinated and it takes him awhile to get where he needs to go. This condition is permanent, but animals tend to learn to compensate over time. He’ll need a home that can keep him safe and secure and willing to go the distance.”

The shelter received lots of applications, and soon, they found the right forever home for Petey with a kind couple. They loved him from the first moment they met each other!

We all know that cats can be the greatest pets who love to snuggle around and keep their owners occupied, but sometimes you just need a little bit of alone time. Or perhaps you don’t really appreciate your cat waking you up early in the mornings, which is something owner Kristian Svenson can probably relate to.

The man describes his adorable kitten Mulder as “mischievous”, and we definitely can’t argue with that. Kristian was preparing chicken wraps in the kitchen and Mulder kept on jumping on the counter, so he needed to figure out a way to work in the kitchen without Mulder hanging around his every move.

Unfortunately for him, Kristian’s cat figured out a way to open doors. Even if the man closed his door, Mulder the cat would regularly take a peek anyway.


“The first clip is from January. Mulder was 5 months old. I was wrapping chicken and I needed him to stop jumping on the counter for a couple minutes, so I tossed him into the bathroom and closed the door. Seconds later, he was out. I grabbed my camera, started rolling, and tossed him back in. This was something he had never done previously,” he posted in a comment underneath his YouTube video.



Tired of all the interruptions, Kristian decided to come up with a plan. Knowing that a regular doorknob wouldn’t hold Mulder back, he tried to take things to the next level.

Cat’s aren’t a huge fan of water, and Kristian gladly took advantage of that.


He placed a large tub of water right underneath the doorknob so that Mulder wouldn’t be able to bust out some acrobatic moves as he’d be afraid to land in the water.
However, it turns out Mulder is a lot more acrobatic than he previously thought. Even the box of water didn’t stop the adorable feline, as he just jumped from a slightly different angle and balancing his weight very precariously. Sure enough, Mulder then succeeds in lowering the door knob just enough for the door the open.

He lands back safely on the ground without ever touching the water, and simply hops over the tub to go see what his owner was spooking around in the kitchen.
